So I'm back (for like the four millionth time) - but I cannot stop trying. And here I am. Working on some small behavioral changes.

I was doing well on my own at the start of the pandemic, but things sorta spiraled out of control over the summer and now i'm pretty much back to where I started.

But I don't want to be overweight for the rest of my life. If I don't make some changes, nothing will change.

ULTIMATE GOAL: Reach a healthy BMI
FIRST "BIG" GOAL: LOSE 50 LBS
See below for small and medium-sized goals geared to get me to my *ultimate* goal.

SHORT RANGE GOAL (EVERY WEEK):
Lose 1-2 lbs per week.

MID RANGE GOAL (ONE MONTH AT A TIME):
FEBRUARY (NEW STARTING WT: 226.2)
Lose 1-2 lbs per week.
High Goal: 8 lbs (218.2); Mid Goal: 6 lbs (220.2); Low Goal: 4 lbs (222.2)

LONG(ER) RANGE GOAL (QUARTERLY):
JANUARY-MARCH
Lose 1-2 lbs per week.

My Program:
I am working to learn my behavioral hangups that contribute to unhealthy eating habits. I have decided to start with a commitment of 12 weeks (ending March 31) doing BistroMD - a complete food/snack delivery service - in order to reset my metabolism, and make some initial headway on my weight loss goals. I know this isn't a long-term solution, but for now getting some of the excess weight off is my priority.
1. Stick to BistroMD menu each week, for 12 weeks.
2. Record my weight every Sunday morning.
3. Once each month, take photos and measurements.
4. Blog weekly progress reports on Sunday.
5. Incorporate daily exercise.



Personal Information:
I live in Tucson AZ, have two cats, and grow weird succulents. I love to hike, take pictures and dance. I'm learning Spanish and love to practice! I'm an inspiring writer.


Other Information:
My SPARK is that I want be healthy and fit enough to return to the active lifestyle I used to have. I miss that part of life and the Me that thrived off being active.

    Thanks so much for your reply! It's great to hear from you. I'm glad you're doing okay, and I'm sure the nutrition struggles will work themselves out as life settles down, in the near future I hope.

    My work has been greatly reduced by the pandemic. I'm usually dispatched to companies to teach English to their employees, but recently a lot of the employees are working from home, and the companies have concerns about outsiders coming onto their premises, so some classes were canceled and I'm teaching only two days a week now, which I found that I actually sort of like. You would think I'd have my whole house organized by now, but no...house and yard still need so much work. But in these temperatures, it's just really hard to dive into all that.

    I've heard it's just awfully hot in the US in some places. It's been hot here, too, but nothing like the temps I'm seeing for my land of birth. I hope you haven't been too affected. Take care and stay safe, my dear.
