So I'm back (for like the four millionth time) - but I cannot stop trying. And here I am. Working on some small behavioral changes.

I was doing well on my own at the start of the pandemic, but things sorta spiraled out of control over the summer and now i'm pretty much back to where I started.

But I don't want to be overweight for the rest of my life. If I don't make some changes, nothing will change.

ULTIMATE GOAL: Reach a healthy BMI
FIRST "BIG" GOAL: LOSE 56 LBS (179.5)
See below for small and medium-sized goals geared to get me to my *ultimate* goal.

JAN: -8 lbs (met my high target goal)
FEB: -5.2 lbs (met my low target goal)
MAR: -6.2 lbs (just above mid target goal!)
APR: -3.2 lbs (missed my low target goal)
MAY: -3.6 lbs (just missed my low target goal)

My Program:
I am working to learn my behavioral hangups that contribute to unhealthy eating habits. I used BistroMD the first quarter of 2021 and had great success, so have decided to extend it for another 3 months. It's a complete food/snack delivery service (with normal food). I know this isn't a long-term solution, but for now getting some of the excess weight off is my priority. Eventually I will have to learn how to do it on my own, likely with a transition period. But I can't argue with success.
1. Stick to BistroMD menu each week, for 12 weeks.
2. Record my weight every Saturday and Sunday morning.
3. Once each month, take photos and measurements, report photos monthly and measurements quarterly.
4. Blog weekly progress reports on Sunday.
5. Incorporate daily exercise.
6. Nutrition calorie goals: 40-45% protein, 30-35% carbohydrates and 20-25% healthy fats.



Personal Information:
I live in Tucson AZ, have one cat, and grow weird succulents. I love to hike, take pictures and dance. I'm learning Spanish and love to practice! I'm an inspiring writer. I also just got my real estate license for a side job. I'm a full time physician, but plan to do some real estate on the side for family and friends.


Other Information:
My SPARK is that I want be healthy and fit enough to return to the active lifestyle I used to have. I miss that part of life and the Me that thrived off being active.

    Thanks for the comments on my photos! It was love at first sight with our cream-colored girls. Leda is outgoing and charming, and Elenora is shy and tends to stay in the background. We are so glad to have adopted them about ten weeks ago.

    I just took a tour of your photo gallery and loved seeing the pics of Marley and Sasha again. Your household looks fun! I didn't comment on everything so as not to inundate your inbox in case you get notified for every comment, but all your photos are just so lovely. You're a very good photographer!

    I was thrilled to recognize your fur baby on the friend feed this morning, when DESERTDREAMERS added you as a friend! I thought, "Hey, I know that little guy!" So I clicked on your page and it all added up--the cute kitties parading across the floor at your house, the AZ address, the succulents. I used to love to click on your page to see if there were any new kitty pics, and I was sorry not to see you (or them) for a while, but I'm glad you're back, and I wish you all the best as we take this Spark trip together.
