I have been a member of SparkPeople since 2008 and have not always worked as hard as I could to get my weight down and stay on track. This year, my blood pressure and cholesterol are back up again and my doctor wants me to lose at least fifteen more pounds. Although I have not been in the 130s since high school, I am determined to make it happen this year. I have changed my diet and eat almost entirely, vegetables, fruit, grain and protein (usually in the form of beans).

I am the kind of person that does better with a challenge, so I am challenging myself to get my numbers back on track. By posting it here, I know I will really work to make it Happen. I love my Spark teams!

I saw this on THECRUSADER's page and copied it for my page too!

No matter how slow you are...
you're still lapping everyone sitting on the couch!

Personal Information:
I used to be an AOL "Junkie". I met my sweetie on line and we have been together going on 18 years. So, our favorite movie is "You've Got Mail"

I have written three book s about raising butterflies entitled "If You Plant It, They Will Come" "Butterfly Gardens and Raising Butterflies" and "The Butterfly Lovers Primer" The second book is an updated version of the first book, but the third book is totally new. All three books are available at www.Amazon.com and www.BarnesandNoble.com

Other Information:
Weight loss is a journey tackle it in stages.
Some may get there very quick, whilst others may take ages.
Weight loss is a journey, some take the stopping train,
And they get off at the station, and then get back on again.
While other lucky people seem to travel by express,
With no apparent effort, each week they weigh in less.
For some of us the journey, too often seems uphill.
We never seem to get that far, struggle though we will.
Weight loss is a journey anyone can go
But as you travel on your way theres something you should know.
Losing weights a journey that is different for everyone,
Some are happy to stroll along while others need to run.
If you want to complete this journey, then forget about the rest.
Each of you must travel the way that suits you best.
As long as you believe it, you WILL get there some day.

Good Morning Cynthia. How are you? I am doing great! I am on my 3rd week of the training and I am planning on sticking to the first weeks training for another week. I am just adding more 60 sec runs. I am finding this is not getting any easier. My endurance has not improved much. I think another week of the 60sec runs is in order. I will do this it is just going to take more time for this olgal. I have let myself get so out of shape. I do love it and it makes me feel so good. I got a new book Running made easy, by Susie Whalley and Lisa Jackson. Their plan has the same end results but is not as aggressive a C2K5. It looks as though it is more my speed. How long did it take you to start improving your endurance? You have a great week !! I see you are leading a new team. I think I will join. Take care and keep up the hard work. emoticon emoticon

Thank you. I'm very excited to have found a team like this. People at work and my friends have no idea what I'm talking about, so it's nice to have people who understand.
