I have been a member of SparkPeople since 2008 and have not always worked as hard as I could to get my weight down and stay on track. This year, my blood pressure and cholesterol are back up again and my doctor wants me to lose at least fifteen more pounds. Although I have not been in the 130s since high school, I am determined to make it happen this year. I have changed my diet and eat almost entirely, vegetables, fruit, grain and protein (usually in the form of beans).

I am the kind of person that does better with a challenge, so I am challenging myself to get my numbers back on track. By posting it here, I know I will really work to make it Happen. I love my Spark teams!

45 Minutes of weight and aerobic exercise five days a week. I use Walk Away The Pounds walking tapes for rainy days. I strive for 5,000 steps per day when I walk.

    Good Morning Cynthia. How are you? I am doing great! I am on my 3rd week of the training and I am planning on sticking to the first weeks training for another week. I am just adding more 60 sec runs. I am finding this is not getting any easier. My endurance has not improved much. I think another week of the 60sec runs is in order. I will do this it is just going to take more time for this olgal. I have let myself get so out of shape. I do love it and it makes me feel so good. I got a new book Running made easy, by Susie Whalley and Lisa Jackson. Their plan has the same end results but is not as aggressive a C2K5. It looks as though it is more my speed. How long did it take you to start improving your endurance? You have a great week !! I see you are leading a new team. I think I will join. Take care and keep up the hard work. emoticon emoticon
