I'm 28, married, overweight (270 lbs) and ready for a positive change. This weight has become unbearable. I'm tired of being tired lol. I'm ready to get my life back, I'm not saying I was ever skinny but I was at least healthier when I was younger. I still had energy and motivation to do things which I feel I lack now. My goals are to lose over 100 lbs and hopefully run a 5k as a challenge to myself. I've heard of Couch 2 5K and have just started a few days ago when I came across this website. I hope to find inspiration and support that I need and hope to inspire others!

My Goals:
Lose over 100lbs by 2013

Eat Healthier

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day

Make exercise a daily routine

Run a 5K without stopping

Love to take pictures again and not hide from them lol


My Program:
I'm counting my calories and trying to stay between 1200-1500 a day.

Also recently started Couch 2 5K on my Treadmill 3 times a week

Every other day doing strength training on Crossbow & free weights

I'm a loud person lol, and I love to laugh. My interest vary from Art, Music, Photography, Food, DIY, and Video Games ( I'm a kid at heart) oh and 1 huge one I forgot MAKEUP lol i'm a makeup addict.

    You are 3 runs away from a HUGE goal! If you did week 7, you can do week 8. It is only 5 more minutes. I'm not going to lie...week 7 is kicking my ass! It is harder than anything I've ever done. Today was my day 2 in week 7 and I had to walk for an extra 30 seconds twice during the run. But I paused my watch and still ran the full amounts that I was supposed to. I hate the run with every step that I take...but I just keep telling myself that I WILL finish this. I am too close to quit...and for once in my life I will not let my brain tell my body that I can't do it! I will even have to go beyond week 8 to get to 5k. My pace is so slow that the times designated for walking and running, I'm not even coming close to 3 miles. This week in the full 35 minutes, I'm only getting to 2.06 miles. Which means by adding another 5 minutes next week, I will still only be at about 2.5 miles. I'm going to try my best to run that 5k by the end of next week...but it may take me an extra week to get there.
    What motivates me is thinking about how awesome I am going to feel when I get to the end of that run on week 8 day 3...no matter if I hit 5k or not! And I get even more motivated thinking about the day that I DO hit 5k. I want to be proud to say that I trained for and ran 5k at 300 pounds. If I can do this...think of what else I can do!
    You got this, Girl! I know you will finish. One day, one step at a time. If you have to give yourself 30 more seconds then do it! Let your body tell you what you can do, not your head. Go back and re-read the quote at the top of your page...
