I'm 67yrs old and a 18 1/2yr breast cancer survivor. I suffer from neuropathy due to Taxol (chemo drug) with pain throughout my body most of this time. Surgery on both knees 27 years ago + bad hip began to limit my exercise ability. Got it replaced on February 15, 2017. Knees will be next but my ortho doc said I can go a couple more years.

I have started and stopped with Sparkpeople so many times over the past several years. Glad it is here when I need some support and friendship.

emoticon Thank you for commenting on my blog "6 months without a cigarette!". It was difficult quitting and one of my biggest concerns was gaining weight but I am determined to get healthy and to be a great role model for my children. My children didn't know I smoked, they had never seen me smoke and it was important for me to stop before they got to the age in which they would know what I was doing and how I was harming myself by smoking. I also didn't want to be one of those parents that says no to their children about smoking while they are doing it.

Thank you for stopping and commenting on my recent blog about my heart. I appreciate your kind words of encouragement. Although you and I have different life histories we do have some things in common: both in our 60s, 2 children in their 30s, appreciation for Renaissance Festival fun, and choice of the Atkins eating program. Congratulations on beating the breast cancer and best wishes for dealing with the unfortunate consequences from the medications.
