Hi Friend! How are you doing? I hope you are doing better than me! I am stuck in what feels like a never ending struggle. According to my weight loss chart, I should be at 127 tomorrow ... I am like 136 ... ugghh! I need to tell myself that I can't eat anything unless it's logged in my tracker. The hard part is that I am soo busy, I'm lucky if I even get a chance to look at my tracker. The only good thing I am doing is keeping busy. I took the girls on a hike today and walked a 5K with the stroller yesterday and ran 2 miles after. Like I said ... if all I had to do was exercise ... Loved your story about your hiking trip in the Italians Alps in your comments on my blog about cultural differences. Although life expectancy figures show that Italians do have quite an edge over us Americans, I also question just how healthy some of their choices are. Yes, there is a lot of emphasis on fresh fruit and vegetables, but breakfasts, for example, are often nothing but simple carbs. How they make it to lunchtime seems like something of a miracle, lol!
I try to incorporate the best of both worlds--Italian moderation and the good side of American health consciousness and awareness--so I hope your assessment about my lifestyle potentially being healthier is right.
Sorry to hear about your lack of health insurance. What a botched system there is in the States. It's really abominable that the richest country in the world can't do better by its people in this respect. 2495 days ago

I decided I was too tired for Cross Fit, 6 days straight with no rest, but still got my 10k+ steps in today! Hoping to sneak in 10k steps tomorrow, have a wonderful cheat meal/carb load, and run 8+ miles saturday AM at 6:30, yikes! last long run before biggest loser half, I am so stoked!! Still trying to figure out this maintenance thing, lost weight this week, which is ok, my goal was always 135 and I upped it because of the skin and muscle! Need to eat more, added another snack into the mix!!

oh, yeah, I've been overdoing the coffee lately and it isn't helping at all. I gave it up when I first started losing weight, and had way more energy without it eventually. But then I slowly introduced it back in (I love the taste but didn't need it to stay awake until recently)...I made a smoothie with matcha powder for breakfast instead and feel a bit better than if I had coffee. It might be other things that contributed to the spike in energy awhile back though...but I also am getting migraines which I haven't had this bad in years, and caffeine (particularly coffee) seems to be a huge trigger for me and many people with them... :( 2498 days ago

It's funny, because although I look a lot younger in the face now that I've lost weight, I'll still never get mistaken for being too young anymore with these wicked white hairs sprinkled through my sides and a few on the top. I'm alright with that though, but it's been a LONG time since I've been carded anywhere, lol. I love how it used to annoy the heck out me when I was in my twenties, and now it seems like a compliment, lol! :D 2499 days ago
