GROEDER
It is now a year and 5 months since I found SparkPeople on May 10, 2009). I have changed my weight loss goals 3 times, learned to eat right, purchased exercise equipment, and countless size changes in clothes. I am more excited about my journey than ever, and am at the point where I can't wait for the next person to ask me what I have done to myself! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
With only a small amount left to lose, I can safely expect to reach my goal of ...
It is now a year and 5 months since I found SparkPeople on May 10, 2009). I have changed my weight loss goals 3 times, learned to eat right, purchased exercise equipment, and countless size changes in clothes. I am more excited about my journey than ever, and am at the point where I can't wait for the next person to ask me what I have done to myself! This is the best thing I have ever done for myself.
With only a small amount left to lose, I can safely expect to reach my goal of losing 170 pounds and reaching a weight of 150 by Christmas of 2010!!!
I have my Christmas present/reward ready to order!!! That will mean that I will have a new Trek Navigator bike ready to ride in the spring!!!!!!
I don't plan to make drastic changes in my lifestyle when I reach my goals. I have become almost addicted to exercise, so I know that will continue. As for my eating habits - I will continue to experiment with new recipes and eat healthy. I never want to go back to where I was for so many years.

My Goals:
I have changed my weight loss goals 3 times since I started on SparkPeople. I think now I might have a final goal in sight. I plan to lose 170 pounds by Christmas of 2010. That will put me at 150 pounds.
Some of my other goals have been met: Reduced medications from 6 to 1. and upped my activity level drastically, with much more energy.
My Program:
I track everythng I eat every day and do some sort of physical activity at least 6 days a week. I strength train Monday through Saturday (alternate days for different muacle groups - never the same ones 2 days in a row). My cardio work is riding a recumbent bike 70 - 90 minutes every day.
Personal Information:
My name is Gregg and I live in Devils Lake, ND.
My hobbies are target shooting, hunting and fishing. I also enjoy reading, going to musical plays, and (my real passion) experimenting in the kitchen, making up my own recipes.
Other Information:
I must be blessed! I was recently told by an orthopedic surgeon the I need both knees replaced by he would not do it until I lost "a lot" of weight. When I went looking for help, I found all of you. I am just getting started, but I already can see that this may be the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Had arthroscopic surgery on one knee 3 days ago and it feel great already. I may not need a replacement as soon as expected.

Happy Easter one day early...too hard not to get excited about such a great day.
Wishing you only the greatest of everything. Hope this spring is the time to reach those goals, get closer or to start again.
