1-11-11 The start to 2011 is not quite at the weight I had hoped to be and up from my lowest weight and best physical condition of the summer months, but on the bright side, I am still down a little over 18 pounds from where I started from in January of 2010. So here I go again, plugging along, working to get better at this lifestyle change each and every day!
4-09-10 I have been on track since my "restart" and the feeling has been WONDERFUL!! One thing that has been different is the fact that I am making the most of the resources provided on Sparkpeople. I am better able to handle the daily challenges that we face in this "world of abundant food choices" and am learning how to quickly get back on track. As someone on Spark said, "Getting back on track is only one meal away"!! Another BIG help for me has been walking with my husband. It's nice to have a live in exercise partner!!
1-26-10 It's time for a restart!! I am refreshed, renewed, and revved up for a health filled year of exercise and weight loss. I would LOVE to be "many pounds" lighter by July 17th, the date of my daughter's wedding.
3-29-09 After finding my way around for a few months, I have really started to enjoy the benefits of the feeling of support from the Spark Community. Reading the stories of tremendous successes and participating in the opportunities this resource provides have been a real help in building a foundation for healthy living.

7-12-11 Water ski on the slalom all the way around the lake!

Personal Information:
I have been married for 32 years to a great husband, I'm the mom of 3 adult daughters, 3 son-in-laws and the grandma to Calleigh(9-6-06), Brody(8-31-08), Talan, (9-03-09), and Emma (8-31-10). I love being a grandma and spending time with my family. My three children and 5 of my 6 siblings and their families live in the same small town I live in and I am blessed daily by having them around!!
I am a special education teacher who has been working with the population of students who have autism.
