My name is Tricia and I've been overweight my entire life. I've always been very self-conscious about it, but I'm a jeans and sweatshirt kind of girl, so it wasn't really too bad to hide. Then I graduated from college, stopped walking everywhere, and went from 165 to 195 at an alarming rate. It's still pretty easy to hide under jeans and sweatshirts but I'm sick of wanting to hide myself. It's one thing to wear clothes because they are comfy and it's what I choose to wear. It's something totally different to be so ashamed of how you look you want to hide under what you wear. I used to love dressing up (when I was 165 and even then I didn't like how I looked) but now every time I have to wear dressy clothes it reduces me to tears until finally I just throw something on and feel horrible about how I look.

Well, I'm done with it all. I'm done feeling ashamed, done not loving the body I live in, and done pretending I'm doing something about it when I'm not really giving getting healthy my best efforts. I don't do anything else half-way, why should my health, my body and taking care of them both be any different? I'm ready to start a new lifestyle on the road to a healthy me!

Also, I just had my 5 year wedding anniversary in March and we are trying to have a second child, so I want to get healthy for that. I want to be able to have another healthy pregnancy without any complications because of my weight. I also want to be able to look nicer for my husband when we are making a baby... I just want to start a healthy lifestyle that I can stick with for the rest of my life so that I can teach my kids to be healthy too.

My Goals:
1. To get to 120 lbs by the end of 2017.

2. To be patient with my weight loss and not expect huge losses every week

3. To not let one failure dictate my day, week, or entire plan to get healthy

4.To work my way up to running a half marathon by finishing the 10K and then half marathon running schedules I have printed out.

5. To stick to my calorie range of 1200-1550

6. To do strength training exercise at least 3 times a week

7. To log on to spark people every day

My Program:
Finish the 10K running program and then move on to the half marathon schedule.

Do strength training exercises at least 3 times a week.

Log on to spark people every day to log what I eat to keep my calories in control.

Weigh myself every week to keep it in check. If it goes up I will do something about it immediately if it goes down it will be cause for a small celebration!

Personal Information:
I live in Deerfield, Wi and have a loving family that include my 2 sons and husband.

Forget them as soon as you can.

Never confuse a SINGLE defeat with a FINAL defeat!

Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels!

    Hey, things are going pretty well for us right now! Hubby is working full time at McDonald's, and we're both going to school online, through the University of Phoenix. We will have to move after this baby gets here, but I figure things have worked out in the past, and they'll work out again. God is good like that. haha. I just hit the safe part of pregnancy, the 13 week mark. I'm already getting swollen, and kinda not feeling the "glow" quite yet. I'm thankful that this pregnancy is going so fast though, because soon, it will be over, and I'll be able to get back to my routine...and definitely lose the weight, and stay not pregnant for quite a while. lol.
