Hi!

I have been a member of SparkPeople since November of 2008. So much has happened since the last time I was on SP. I had lost about 70 lbs and then broke my back. I gained most of that weight back. Here I go again, and hopefully this time the weight will come off and stay off. I am somewhat limited in what I can do physically because of health issues so I won't be running any races or doing anything radical but I REALLY want to do what I can to get myself in better shape. I have some nutrition goals and know I will need lots of help and encouragement along the way to meeting those goals. I really want to totally eliminate sugar from my diet and eat a more plant-based diet. I am not saying that I will totally eliminate meat from my diet but I would like to drastically cut back on the meat.

My Goals:
My general weight loss goal is to make small goals and reach them one at a time and not beat myself up or set unrealistic goals!

My life goal is to fulfill what the Lord has called me to do and to make a difference in the lives of others.

Specific Short-term Goals:
*Get off some meds for BP and Diabetes.
*Have more energy.
*Be able to shop for clothes in a regular store.

Specific Long-Term Goals:
Get off ALL meds for Diabetes and BP.
Have energy to do what I want to do.
Reach my goal weight and maintain for life.


My Program:
Eat less.
Eat healthier.
Exercise 15 minutes a day to begin and gradually increase that.
Stay positive and motivated!
Support others.
Ask for support when I need it.



Personal Information:
I recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BS degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Victim Advocacy. I am currently looking for a job that will utilize these and hopefully allow me to work with victims as an advocate. I want to make a big difference in the lives of others.


Other Information:
My favorite book is the Bible. My favorite movie is "Pay It Forward" because of the message. It is a message that needs to be spread all over. I love watching anything educational like the Discovery channel, the History channel and the Travel channel. On the lighter side, I love The Golden Girls, The Cosby Show and Frazier.
