Its all about getting rid of the "Flab" in a "healthy" manner. Strategy is to be consistent, & have realistic goals. Read below to find out more about me & Spark on :) I am Sana (aka TheUnModernWoman), a stay at home Mom of three, who is determined to tackle the one & only biggest obstacle in her life. Extra Weight. Ready to lose the extra 181, yes you read that right, lbs. And, be all healthy again. So far, as of Nov 9 2017, I have lost 27 lbs, & have 154 more to go. To me the word "Fab" does not mean skinny. But, it is the feeling you get when you are confident about yourself because you are physically fit & healthy. If you have stumbled upon my page, chances are you are just like me in one way. And, that is trying to lose all that extra fat off your body. Lets just say we can do it. YES, we can do it. Like many others I have been struggling to lose my weight for quite some time. Say 10 years now. Since reaching my teenage years, while being very athletic, I had always weighed an extra 15-20 lbs. But, all that changed when I was diagnosed with severe asthma back in 2006. I ended up gaining 40 lbs in one year with all the steroids I was taking to control my asthma. In spring of 2010 I had my beautiful daughter & then added a whopping 70 lbs to my then weight. Struggled to lose the baby weight for a year & half. Only to be eventually diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Lost, 25 lbs through a combination of Zumba, running & strength training in 2013 fall. And then gained 45 lbs in 2014 while having my older son. Which followed by a gain of another 16 lbs after delivery during my time of severe Postpartum Depression & PTSD related to the pregnancy & birth of my middle child. Fast forward to 2015, I lost 19 lbs by portion control. And, then in 2016 during my third pregnancy gained 30 lbs. I currently stand at 299 after losing 27 lbs through portion control in the past year. Unfortunately, as life happens. It happened with me & this year (2017) has bought it's own set of health problems for me. I was recently diagnosed with Diastatis Recti (surgery required). Which followed a Morton's Neuroma treatment with steroid shots in my right foot in Spring 2017. I also have a herniated disc which bulged during active labor with my first born in 2010. At this point, in terms of workouts, I have very few options left. I know that it's going to be a tough road down. But, I am all ready for the journey. An interesting fact. I am a foodie through & through. And, love cooking & trying out new recipes. But, lets just say that since I started counting calories on & off from 2013. Over the course of years, I have learned that there is a lot of "tweaking" that needs to happen here. All thanks to sparkpage, that taught me to track my calories, exercise & water in take & double thanks to Biggest Loser Challenge 12, that motivated me even more to lose this extra flab of fat back in 2013. This one was a long one in the making. But, it's on. I say Lets Do IT :)

Stay within my calorie range.

Drink at least 10 cups of water a day.

Zumba 3x a week.

Run 3x a week

Eliminate carbonated drinks completely
