I know I am not alone in my battle to change my mental process from one of lack of motivation and desire to one of "yes I can" do this! But I have finally made it! It took great soul searching and making a list of the reasons I need to lose weight and get fit, I have man (don't we all?) I used to be the woman that went to the gym at least 4/5 times per week. I loved working out, I loved muscle and bodybuilding! I wanted to be one of those you see in the magazines. I still think those bodies are beautiful, and it is not that I have completely given up all hope of having a sexy, toned body, but my goals are much more realistic now.

I simply want to be at a healthy weight and not look flabby and loose anymore. I want to be where I have been and where I know I can get to again.

Three weeks ago, my hubby and I gave up starchy carbs and as much sugar as we could eliminate from our diets. This change was a necessesity for him because he has been told he is borderline diabetic and needed to get his blood sugar under control. Now, this is not because he is overweight, he has managed to lose his weight over the last 6 months, but he was still having an issue with sugar and cravings.

I have lost weight but I wasn't losing much because I was not exercising, so over the last couple of weeks I have slowly added it back into my life. I could not be happier!! My body feels so much better without all the carbohydrates and sugar and the bloating in my abdomen is gone now. I now have desire to exercise again and am finding ways to keep it interesting and avoid the boredom that usually sets in after a few weeks. I have discovered Zumba and love it! I also love cycling so I am back on my spin bike and I also alternate walking a 4 mile loop around our neighborhood. I am still working on adding the weight training again, but I'll get there. I also want to be in good enough shape to get back on my snowboard again this season, I have missed it for a couple years.

I am so happy to just have motivation back in my life and I am ready to take this journey ~ hopefully for the last time. Once I get there I have to stay there.

My Program:
I am journaling my food, daily, but my goal is to eliminate saturated fats, processed foods, and sugar for the most part and eat more fruits, vegetables and lean protein as well as drink 80-100oz of water daily.



Personal Information:
Toni, from Eastern Washington, I am 41, married to my best friend with two beautiful daughters, a 22 year old senior at Pacific Lutheran University and a 20 year old attending community college. I own and operate a letterman jacket/emblem business, but am currently studying for certification in medical coding.
