My name is Sheila and I am 35 years old. I am married with 3 children. I want to not only lose this weight but be healthy. (being skinny doesn't mean you are healthy) Heart Disease and Diabetes run in my family and if I don't do something soon, I am heading down that road. I also want to teach my kids how to eat healthy and make the right food choices.

My weight issues began at an early age. I was never really taught how to eat healthy foods and did not have the willpower to stop eating. I would live to eat, instead of eat to live. I always wondered when the next meal would be and I never really ate any healthy vegetables.

I have always known that I was fat and wanted to lose weight but never knew exactly how. I have tried countless fad diets and none of them really worked. I think I just lost hope and accepted the fact that I would always be the fat girl.

In September 2007, I began to watch the Biggest Loser, which gave me a renewed sense of hope. They showed how to eat and exercise. I have gained so much knowledge. My quest for knowledge continues every day. I am not on a diet, it is a lifestyle change. I am eating more fruits and vegetables that I ever have. I eat all whole grain foods and try not to eat anything processed.

Let's get out there and get moving because we are so worth it!

Done being laughed at and getting looks of disgust.
Done avoiding having my picture taken
Done worrying about dying prematurely
Done not making ME time
Done not having any self confidence/self esteem
Done being a couch potato
Done not doing things because I’m afraid I won’t fit in the seat.
Done not being able to look people in the eye
Done not being able to shop at regular stores
Done not being able to run and play with my kids without being exhausted
Done being the fat girl!!!

My Program:
Eat whole grain foods along with fruits and vegetables.

Drink at least 80 ounces of water daily.

Exercise at least 4 days a week with a combination of weights and cardio.

Personal Information:
I have been married to the most wonderful man for 6 years. He loves me for who I am, not what I look like. I don't know where I would be without him.

I live in North Texas.

Other Information:
I love to scrapbook, take pictures, and spend time with friends and family. I also love the outdoors as long as it is not too hot. LOL
