7/2015 - Been awhile! Well, I am training for an olympic triathlon that's in September, my last race was Nanny Goat - a 24-hour race to see how many 1-mile loops you can run :)
Still maintaining my weight - although I've been bumping up against my upper comfortable limit for awhile and so it's always on my mind, even if I'm not really fighting hard.

6/2013 - Ran my second trail marathon in January - it was much faster than the first (flatter), but I also had much pain in my hips. Been going to PT to strengthen and stabilize my hips and it's been working! After a crazy April and May with my husband's ankle infection, I am back to training for Orangeman 70.3 in September!
11/2012 - Ran my first trail marathon and it rocked! Training for another trail marathon in January, and keeping the plant-strong vibe alive!
10/2012 - I did lots of races this year, but most importantly the Orangeman 70.3! So glad I did it, and now I'm getting ready for my first marathon, and first trail race - together - on my birthday! Still plant-strong and barely a glance back :)
1/23/2012 - 7 months plant-strong! It's now normal and comfortable and I love it! Hmm what's new? Did a 20 mile run with my husband - longest ever run for me! Signing up for the Orangeman Triathlon in Sept 2012 - my first half rev triathlon! I'm a little nervous but mostly excited! Still maintaining - eating right and exercise is my lifestyle now! :)
10-27-2011 - 4 months plant-strong! Completed my OlyTri and blew away my goals! Now, I'm working on maintaining the fitness I've gained, and thinking about how to shape next year :)
6/22/2011 - in the midst of training for my Sept Olympic Tri, and also started the Engine 2 28 Day Challenge with my hubby! FOCUS!!
5/4/2011 - Completed my sprint triathlon and met all my goals! Next up is my hubby's 50-miler in two weeks, then my 14yo's triathlon the week after that! Busy May!
4/15/2011 - I have a sprint triathlon coming up May 1st and I need to get SERIOUS!! Spring Break really cracked through my motivation and I need to break back through and get motivated!
11/2010 - just finished my first half marathon - woohoo! - will now be working on healing an injured foot and hip flexor - shouldn't take too long to nurse them to health :)
6/2010 - maintaining and enjoying life
My weight has been very steady 121-125 for months now - I'm biking to work every week day and we're pretty active on weekends - to be honest I'm worrying about if I'm eating enough to sustain the activity that I do every day... what a trip!
12/2009 - hibernating
After completing my first olympic distance triathlon, I have been - well, resting! I am running a little bit and just chilling, but soon I will start training for my next tri in July!
8/8/09 - maintaining and pushing
Two triathlons down and i'm considering an Ironman in my lifetime? Who would've thought! This from someone that DID NOT run at all before age 27 and who was not in shape until I decided to start running for the rest of my life!
7/25/09 - Maintaining away :)
I finished my *first* triathlon - got the results I was looking for and really enjoyed myself. I may do more!
Looks like i'm now signed up to do an olympic triathlon relay and I'll be doing the running leg - 10K - I told the ladies that if they didn't mind 10-min miles then I'd be happy to race with them - so that's on August 8th, enough time to train right?
5/1/09 - Hi everyone - I am a maintainer and working to keep in shape. Nothing overly exciting :)
I have a sprint triathlon in July so I'm back to Sparkpeople to get some crosstraining in with a challenge or two. I'll also be training by running, biking to work, and starting in a few weeks joining a gym to practice swimming.
I'd like to finish the triathlon in the middle of the pack, which would mean I need to accomplish:
1/3 mile swim in less than 20 min
10.5 mile bike in less than 45 min
3 mile run in less than 30 min
and transitions less than 2 minutes each
I think this sounds totally reasonable - we'll see how it goes - wish me luck!
