Since I began SparkPeople in 2013, there have been A LOT of changes...2 kids, in fact! My daughters were born September 2014 and July 2016, respectively. I'm working hard at eating well and slowly getting back into exercise to be a good role model for my girls. One of the biggest challenges I've been facing is that I am breastfeeding, and I always get clogs whenever I exercise (any upper body movements, specifically). Since I breastfed for a year and got pregnant again shortly thereafter, I have not really gotten back into a regular workout regimen, other than walking. I'm going to take a more active approach in trying to identify classes such as spinning that focus primarily on lower body movement until I am done breastfeeding my youngest, which will probably be August 2017.

My Goals:
-To reach goal weight of 135 lbs. and determine if I need to lose any more (I'm a bit shorter so I think my ideal range would be in the 120's)

-To become pregnant at a healthy weight and have a healthy pregnancy

-Maintain a good exercise regimen

-Create a good nest egg financially

-Be more patient

-Be a good role model for my daughters

-Live abroad for a year in Europe (this probably won't be for awhile)

-Tend a full sustainable vegetable garden and replant my herb garden

My Program:
-Exercising 3-4 times a week, and walking as much as I can on my lunch breaks

-Eating healthier meals, and more meals at home (I'm actually a very good cook!)

-Home canning with our 21 fruit trees and 30 berry bushes (next up: canning tomato sauces!)

-Doing the best I can each day, without getting discouraged by occasional lapses

    Hi again Emily, you asked what the AGX program is that I've been writing about. Well, it stands for Adrenaline Group Xercise. It is a small group class that is very intense (you must wear a heart monitor during the class). With the program, you do three workouts a week. One is lower body, one upper body, and one total body. Each week the workouts completely change. AGX is based on muscle confusion which gets the best results. Monday was my first session (lower body) and today is Wednesday night and legs are still sore!! Tomorrow morning I am doing the upper body workout. I will post a blog about it tomorrow night, wish me luck!!

    Hi Emily! Thank you for adding me as a Spark Friend! I added you as well. To answer your questions, at my heaviest I was 198, it took me close to 2 years to get down to the 120's. I'm now 122-123. I feel great!! I workout 4-5 days a week and tonight I started a 5 week AGX challenge at my gym. (Go AGX!) as far as food, I tracked everything and stayed within my ranges everyday. Now, I definitely don't track as much because I've learned how to eat healthy. I also highly recommend a step counter that syncs to your computer or smart phone (such as a fitbit etc...). I love love being healthy and will never go back to my unhealthy habits. Good luck to you. Please please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or anything.
