Hey folks,

Have failed in SOOOO many ways... but the only real failure is to quit trying, so I'm back to try some more. And OMG! Now I hear Yoda in my head saying, "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try."

I have bought several different types of exercise equipment and have managed to truly injure myself on nearly all of them. So now how I exercise is more difficult. Have a large broad-based disc bulge in my low back. Somewhat different than most, in that it is displaced towards the front and therefore pushing against the entire nerve bundle. (eye-roll)

My exercise bike is still okay as are many isometric exercises. So those I do again.

Also have developed more allergies. Now I can't eat bananas or apples. Add that to no vinegar, nothing aged pickled, containing yeast or other forms of fungi. Not supposed to eat things that are dried and am allergic to oats. I don't eat meat except for fish and will not resume eating other meats.

Bought a freezer and an ice crusher and will be relying upon eating ice chips to handle cravings. If I feel compelled to eat sweets, I have several flavors and forms of stevia, along with lemon and peppermint oils to add to water.

So... hello again! Have I mentioned that I LOVE SparkPeople?

My Goals:
Time to update my goals!

I came to Spark hoping to lose a LOT of weight, but was only guardedly hopeful. I've failed so often before!

I lost 76 pounds... took a long vacation and regained 17 pounds. Not shocking... I ate like a crazy person! LOL

Then fell into self-pity and gained another 12 pounds! Whoa! Pay attention Ellae! Good grief!

But, it didn't stop there. Nope... I've gone right on feeling depressed and ate myself back to being only 26 down from the start. WAH!

Oh well... better late than never. I'm still down from where I was at the start. So, as we said when we were little kids: Finnegan begin again.

I've still got another 60, at least, to lose.

Spark is a perfect fit for me!

I hope it works for everyone reading this!

: )

My Program:
I am counting calories and staying within by pre-set boundaries for food intake. I am doing core exercises to focus my attention where it is most needed.

I've set myself goals in 4 stages.

1: To get comfortable with the program, noted above.

2: To reach a marker weight. (Which I reached, but am now above.)

3: To continue with Spark losing another 50 pounds, which will put me at a very good weight. One at which I was completely comfortable with myself.

4: To re-evaluate and decide if losing 25 more, which would put me at the weight I was when I was 15 years old.

: )

Personal Information:
I live in Minnesota and have recently retired. I love, love, love it!

Other Information:
I love studying world history, psychology and religious history books... also reading the occasional novel.
Also I've been working on genealogy for about a decade.
