Hi there!

I'm Don, I first started SparkPeople back in early 2007, I went from 244 down to 205, over the years I've gained back weight and re-lost weight - from my experience tracking food and exercises IS KEY to maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. So I am back to the thing that helped me succeed multiple times. SparkPeople provides me a nice little journal I can access from the Web or my Phone, so it's much more convenient for me to keep up with now.

I really do not like paying premiums for fad diets or high in meat consumption, I would love to continue my health journey on a plant-based diet not only for personal benefits but because there is also benefits for the community in doing so (happy to talk about it).

I look forward to using SparkPeople to hold myself accountable, but happy to assist others also! Here's to Healthier Eating and Daily Exercise to combat office lifestyles.

Fitness Minutes: 17,317

My Goals:
* To track my nutrition and consumption daily
* Make plant-based meals 90+% of my diet
* Plan & track daily walks & routine exercises
* Stay positive and encourage others on their fitness journey too!

My Program:
(1) Track every food item consumed.
(2) Learn great habits by being aware which foods are calorie dense & nutrient depleted and making better daily choices. Plant-based eating is great for this and for your heart!
(3) Avoid going over calories and attempt to meet suggested macros (Carbs, Fats & Protein) percentages
(4) Exercise! Walking in small batches throughout the day adds up, but also dedicated some moderate to high intensity exercise sessions throughout the week.

I went to the University of North Texas and graduated from the College of Engineering with a Bachelors Degree of Computer Science and I minor in English (which I don't understand, because I ain't get any gooder at englishing). So I can fix your old comp, as long as you don't ask me how to spell "eelliterate".
