Introduction Text I've been retired for almost 4 years and am using this time to develop a new life style in the areas of nutrition and exercise. I love to travel. I lived in the Philippines for 2 years and Spain for 2 years, and have traveled through most of the US and much of Europe. I've been very lucky that I have been able to do what I love. I'm going to have to substitute teach more often to earn enough to do more traveling. Hmmmm, sounds like work to me!!! lol Joining SP has helped motivate me and keeps me on track. Long term I need to lose 100 lbs., but I'm focusing on the short term first! 2015 is the year that I succeed in getting where I want to be!!!!!

Summer 5% Challenge Walk 15-30 minutes each day. Stay within my calorie range each day

Tracking food daily Current weight: 241 5% weight: 12 Goal weight: 228 Goal to eat 1200-1550 calories per day Goal to burn 1380 calories per week 30 min of cardio/day 10 minutes of strength training 3 x's/week 5% Challenge Commitment - "because I said I would"

I am a happy retired lady who is still finding things to do and focus on in this new stage of my life. I am divorced, but friends with ex and his family, and have 5 wonderful grandchildren .

Love to laugh, travel, sew, quilt, knit, read, and listen to and play music.
