    Hey Donna,
I was thinking about what you said about depression over the weekend. It is SO hard to overcome. I really do understand. I have struggled with depression for so long. So, when I was thinking about it getting in the way of your efforts to organize, it made me think of when I started on SparkPeople in January.

One of the keys that started to unlock bigger changes for me was basic movement. I started walking the one mile to and from work each day. It sounds easy to me now...but at the time, it was a challenge. But after just ONE week of doing that...I started to feel better. It started to get easier.

I think it was easier for me to just commit to moving a little more than it was to commit to a big task. So, when I was thinking about you this weekend, I thought...maybe Donna could make a small movement goal...and after a week of doing tthat...the organizing might not seem as daunting. Maybe then a smaller scale project, like one closet, or one shelf....

Keep movement going, then one more small thing, like one cupboard, or one drawer....

    Keep movement going...etc.

After a few more weeks, the potential to see and feel a big difference is really there - in yourself and in your house.

Small changes add up...big "all or nothing" commitments wear us down and burn us out.

    Good luck with everything.

    Keep it up Donna!
    You can do it.

Getting things organized makes things SO much more manageable. We moved from Wyoming to California this year...staying with my parents until we found a place of our own. I know that has been a big part of hitting this plateau. We have been in our rental since August and I STILL don't feel settled in. The basement is FULL, and since we have been living without using so much of that stuff for so long, I am questioning WHY we still have it all.

This journey to healthy lifestyle is a lot like cleaning out the basement...shedding what we don't need and organizing what we do!

I've been having some problems at home. I have not been able to follow my goals, but still trying to eat right and do walking with my little girls. My home is a wreck and needs to be cleaned up and organized for me to carry on. I am getting some help at this time from family and should be back on track. Thank you Erin for checking in on me.
Please send prayers and positive thought my way. I so appreciate them at this time.
Love you and all Spark friends.
