Dixie's journey of a lifetime
Did you ever stop and wonder how you ended up where your at? I have. I wasn't always heavy and out of shape. In my younger days I could eat anything and not gain a pound. Yet the magical age of 40 and something happened. I could no longer eat anything anytime I wanted. Food became my comforter and fat became my protector. I've continued on the yo-yo path of dieting for the past 11 years. I have to change my way of thinking. Garbage in..Garbage out. It's not a diet. It's a lifestyle change. No more diets. It's a new way of living. Proper nutrition to fuel my body. Exercise to improve my healt

My Goals:
1) Loose 30 lbs by 12/31/11.
2) Walk/run the Evansville 1/2 marathon in October. Previously walked the 1/2 marathon.
3) Become stronger mentally and physically.
My Program:
1) Track all food and exercise
2) 1/2 marathon training Tues/Thurs/Sat. 30 minutes off days.
3) Strength train 3 days a week.
Personal Information:
Southern gal in a small IN town. I've been married 36 years. We have 3 married sons and 6 grandkids.
Other Information:
I love to garden, quilt, hike, camp, walk along the beach, read books, spend time in bible study, with family (even if they drive me crazy!) and friends.
