Update-Sept 2013
After reaching a size 6 and feeling fabulous about myself, I got pregnant with my second child. I gained a lot of weight but was comforted by the fact that I started out at a healthy weight this time. Also I have enough experience to be confident that I could get back to a healthy weight. Now that baby is here I'm gearing up to do it all over again! I know I can!

Old intro
I realise that using food to cover your problems only results in more problems. I want to take charge of my life by first taking charge of my physical and spiritual being. I determine what I eat and what I think about. I choose to be the best or worst me. I have been on this weight loss journey for a while but I have only just learned that it is more than just eating this or avoiding that. It is about learning who you are. After many years I am finally sorting through the excesses to discover me. I want to be the best me, the me I know is inside and that involves a spiritual, emotional and physical makeover. It took me a while to get here but I think I'm finally getting it. So I'm on this journey not just to hit a weight loss goal but to find out who I really am and to deal with my issues so that I will never again end up where I am right now.

Update-April 27, 2012 -Started my weigh loss again and am finally 129lbs. I'm now officially in the 120s WOOHOO!

Update-Feb 26, 2011- I'm under 140lbs today. This means that I am:
1) Closer to being out of the overweight range.
2) Finally smaller than my very slender husband.
3) Officially half way to my main goal!
4) Proven that this weight loss "thing" is not a fluke.
