emoticon 11-21-2020 Thx for your comment about our LUCY dogs, turkey hat! Fun that you have 1 too! It's just me & DH & Lucy for thanksgiving, too. We are staying safe & that means the world to me. If I had a hat like that, I would wear it, even though it is 'just' us. I think it is important to have fun, no matter what. I was Supergirl emoticon for Halloween. It was quite an undertaking getting that costume together. (photos in my blog dated 9-26). We didn't have trick or tr-eaters, but I DID go hiking at the nature preserve AND food shopping. It was the photos emoticon I look at & relive the fun. I do not want this year to zoom by without magic, I may create, just because of the horrible virus. (I know 6 people passed because of it) Living in a city that gets about 2,000+ visitors for holidays, hospitals already filled & about 1,000 new cases a day, here. I emoticon am VERY careful! My DH means the world to me & happy & blessed to be able to keep us safe & secure, in our beautiful paradise home! emoticon

Today I am off to grocery shop for our small Thanksgiving. I will wear my mask & gloves & be smiling through it all, to people I see on the way. They might not see my smile, but my eyes show it. emoticon Have a fabulous weekend! emoticon

A million gazillion years, eh? Well, in my younger days goteburg sausage was probably what I would eat. Nowadays I don't eat oily foods. I don't like frying stuff. For cooking I use water or avocado spray instead of oil. It's not that I'm in the best shape, but I try to eat healthier these days. At least I can enjoy my days of retirement after having worked for over 40 years. I am very grateful to be in this position with the pandemic.

Thanks for commenting on my feed. My oats are self designed... I grate a large carrot and boil it in 2c water. Then I add a big scoop of canned pumpkin and if I want to, a diced apple. After that cooks a while I add a little bit more water, a cup of old fashioned oats and some pumpkin pie spice or apple pie spice. I've tried to recreate the spices of carrot cake, but it didn't turn out as well for me. It's a work in progress and different every day. (I usually add a spoon of brown sugar and some salt on top once it's in a bowl. It makes 2 big bowls that keep me full for a long time. I found it was the addition of the carrot more than the fruit that did the trick on that!)
    Have a wonderful Friday, Hon.

Looks like we will be heading toward tier 3 which limits groups to 10. Right now we are on tier 4 which is great (the best tier), but with the recent increase in the number of positive cases it looks like we will be downgraded.

Those "things" we get from Ishihara are a treat for us. We do this every two months after our haircut. The bentos go out pretty quickly so if we're lucky we can get something for lunch. Otherwise we go home empty handed. For the most part since our appointment is at 8 am and we're usually done by 8:30, we have a good chance to get some good food. Some of the things we like to get are sushi (cone and maki), spam musubi (for daughter and grandchildren), teri chicken musubi (for me), Korean chicken bento (for me), corned beef hash bento (for daughter), and fish bento (for hubby). They sometimes make goteburg musubi which is a cooked goteburg sauce with rice and furikake sprinkled on top. Daughter and granddaughter love those. Goteburg sausage is too oily for me. I haven't had one in a million years (nah, not a million but perhaps fifty).
