When I order food from Mark's Place, I usually get the Korean chicken. Hubby is vegetarian so I don't cook chicken at home. This means that when I do take out, I usually get a chicken dish. I love the Korean chicken from Mark's Place. It comes with a scoop of white rice, fried noodles, potato/macaroni salad with some "greens", and the chicken. I sometimes get the chicken katsu which is a breaded boneless chicken with a ketchupy sauce. I usually get an extra one for dinner and the next day's lunch. I'll post a picture of the bentos one of these days.

I'm glad that I don't have to deal with "snow." We just got some rain earlier this evening. The day was nice and sunny so it's good.

I saw that you had your second Pfizer shot with no side effects so far. That's great. We're still waiting our turn.

A little sprinkles is not so bad, but when it "pours" is when it's not so nice. Most of the times it is warm when it rains. We can "smell" the rain coming because there is a certain scent in the air that tells us to be aware of the rains.

    Thanks for stopping by!
Well, I'm glad your Dad had good genes, as I'm sure he enjoyed that bacon, too! I come from good genes, but imagine our modern environment and lifestyle can compromise some of that good.
Also, one of my great-grandfathers who lived to a ripe old age ate oatmeal and applesauce every day for breakfast, and vegetable soup every day for lunch. I don't know about his suppers. I think maybe some of my "good genes" were helped along by good habits!

I'm happy that Hawaii is one of the top states in vaccinating residents. Hubby and I are waiting for our turn to get the vaccine. He is 72 and they are thinking of doing an over 70 category in about 3 weeks. We are in the 65 to 74 age category. We want to keep our island safe.

I'm happy that your daughter and older grandson got their vaccines. What vaccine did you get? Any side effects? Daughter got Moderna and had a slight rash a week after her first shot. She was "down" with the second one! She took a sick day after the second shot. Hopefully our side effects are not too bad.

    Take care!

Your status update is sweet! Happy Centennial Birthday to your Dad!!
You mentioned that he ate potatoes at breakfast... I'm starting to think that eating for satiety in the morning is one of the keys to this whole operation! I find that if I'm full on potatoes until a late lunch, and eat less even then as a result, my overall calories for the day are much lower. I think your dad was on to something!
