I have joined the Summer 5% Challenge which will begin July 4th with the fireworks!!!. 8 weeks of inspiration towards the weight loss journey. It is a Race to Fascinating Places - Join a supportive team and let's have fun as we lose 5% of our weight, make new friends and improve our health! Starting date: July 4, 2020.

I live in Washington State, Port Angeles to be exact. It's at the start of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and directly across the water from Victoria Canada. Beautiful place.

I have struggled with weight my whole life. More than once I''ve had to lose 30 pounds. It just kinda creeps up on ya uh?

My family includes my husband, myself and a Pomchi.

I have 3 daughters, as of Feb 2018 they all live on this side of the Puget Sound too. I have 6 grandchildren, ages 26, 22, 9 and 8, 4, and a 21 month old. Only the oldest is a boy, all the rest are girls!

My biggest wish was to live closer to my children and grandchildren again. We are the ones that moved away for 15 years. My wish came true, but it was hard won. On Oct 18, 2013 we had a house fire in our home in Lake Havasu, AZ. It took nine months of misery, RENTALS moves, and insurance adjustments but we moved into OUR home in Port Angeles, WA 7-18-2014. Nine months to the day of the fire.

Here''s to us ALL "positively" losing to our goal weight and then keeping our weight off!!

I use Persil ProClean Sensitive Skin - no dyes, no fragrances. So no, it's not the detergent. I also use a the free and clear Downy fabric softener. My husband has been dealing with a genetic skin condition for years, so I started buying it for his sake. As I've gotten older, my skin has gotten more sensitive, so I'm glad I'm already using those!

HAH! You were so right to be confused, I put the wrong date on that photo, lol. I just fixed it. We got married last year, so it should've said 2019! We're actually taking the kids to visit my dad next weekend and they're going to camp in a tent in his yard! They've never camped, so hopefully they'll be brave!

I wear cotton cloth masks. One my daughter made from a t-shirt, 2 my daughter-in-law made from cotton fabric, and 3 that came from Land's End and were made in China. The 3 from Land's End fit closely because they are child size. I ordered those because my face is small. The other 3 are bigger and don't fit closely at all. I use those when I go to the gym, even though I take it off while I'm walking.

Our daughter (16 years of age) has a touch of red in her brunette hair when it's not dyed different colors, and the redhead comes out in her, especially with her dad. It's fun to see them butt heads -- she's very much into science and she'll Google any science-y subject just to prove her dad wrong. Chalk in the usual girl-teen angst and it makes for a very spirited child -- wouldn't have it any other way.

I missed Dawgie of the Day for you, so a belated good one! emoticon emoticon
