One of my favorite quotes is from Aristotle.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit."

When I was exercising and walking each day I felt so connected with myself emotionally, physically and spiritually. This past year I was diagnosed with a chronic disease which was debilitating for over 7 months. Today I made the decision that the pain doesn't matter. I NEED to exercise at whatever capacity I am able. I also need to log everything I eat and avoid excessive sweets.

So here I am, back "on board" working towards doing the best I can do at having a healthy lifestyle once again!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose at least 40 pounds, increase my energy level and to "feel" healthy and energetic!

My Program:
I will be logging my food intake every day, exercising at least 5 days a week and holding myself accountable for each and everything that I choose to eat. .

Personal Information:
I live in Elkhart, Indiana and am a bereavement counselor at a local hospice. I love my job, I have 4 grown children and 7 beautiful grandchildren! After being divorced for 10 years I married my best friend in September of this year.

Other Information:
I once heard it said that
"Nothing Tastes as Good as Being Thin Feels." I would like to take this a step further and add that in addition to "being thin" it is so important to eat healthy food and exercise! That is like icing on the cake and it definitely feels better than the icing tastes! (I hope to eat those words one day soon as I am a huge lover of cake icing!)

    It’s cold outside, but Spring is coming! Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of March. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.
