I'm starting fresh, with a whole new set of goals. Although I have lost almost 13 pounds since I started spark, my eyes have been opened to a whole new world of "fitness". I will be 40 in June 2011. I want this birthday to be a celebration of health and well-being. I have incorporated a mostly vegan/vegetarian diet, I guess you would call me a flexitarian although each day it becomes more and more vegan. It was not an easy transition but I am making progress each day. Exercise, especially yoga, have become an important part of my life and I can tell the difference in my mood, stamina and appetite on the days that I don't get the exercise I need. Smoking has been a part of my life since I was 14 years old. It is the biggest challenge for me. I would give up all the food in the world if you left me my coffee and cigarettes. I want/need to quit though and it's the one thing that I know is holding me back from being as healthy as I can be. I will be smoke-free by my 40th birthday! Update 2017, I have been smoke free for nearly 3 years and have become a yoga instructor now it's time to focus on weight loss. Even though I am more active, I have gained 30 pounds since I quit smoking (still the best thing I ever did). I ran my first 5k in June if this year and plan to run 2 more this year. If I can do it anyone can!!

My Goals:
Goal #1 Eat Clean
Goal #2 lose 25 pounds
Goal #3 Live a healthier life physically, mentally and spiritually

Goal #4 Reduce body fat from 35% to 24%

Weight goals 133 by the end of July 2016.

My Program:
I have joined a hot yoga studio to help reduce stress and acheive mindfulness, and SWEAT!
I workout at home using the treadmill or HIIT video at least 3 times a week.
