I am 26 years old and got married to my husband in September of 2009. I have 2 daughters, my 6 year old is from my first marriage and after her i lost a lot of weight and felt great. Then I left my first husband and got together with my current husband, I also started working i would leave work, eat and go to sleep...then I got pregnant with my second little girl who is 4, so I proceeded to eat like I would lose it all after I had her....I gained 50 pounds and after she was born only lost 10-15 pounds :( I felt like crap and have ever since I had her. I just cannot seem to stick with anything I put my mind to I only think that i might as well give up because I might fail in the end but I'm trying to change that starting with Spark!

I am down to halfway to my goal weight!! I am almost down to my post - pregnancy weight from my first child. I am SO excited!! Even my husband is starting to be able to tell a difference in my size! This really works and I just never thought i would be able to do this! :)

I have FINALLY reached my first goal weight!! I have been on SparkPeople for 5 months now and have lost 36.5 pounds! I have about 12 pounds until i reach my *ultimate* goal weight of 120 and am hoping to do so by September 5th 2010, Our first anniversary. I can do it!!! :) PLUS we just recently found out we are going to Las Vegas on October 4th So yet another thing to lose for!!!!

Well I have stopped tracking my food, because let's face it I'm not going to be tracking forever. I wanted to prove to myself that i could continue on without HAVING to track. It has worked well for me, I know how many calories most everything I eat has so I'm always making a mental note. I'm currently at 126.5 and have been holding steady there for a few weeks. I'm no longer concerned about the number on the scale but how I feel about how i look. Most days I feel so small and its still surreal. I am trying every day to admire my body for what it is not what I would like to look like. I feel like I can do this I will do this! I'm hoping to start P90X in january, or at least before next summer to help tone up my abs because children are not kind to those! Until then I will continue on my treadmill and with my pushups and crunches. :)

Well I have hit my goal weight! I am maintaining between 118 and 122. I'm working towards toning up and feeling comfortable with my body. Insecurity is hard to overcome and I'm trying hard to see myself for the 120 pound girl i am not the 170 pound girl i started as! Always a work in progress but i WILL overcome this and be a confident woman!

Yet another update....August 2011:
Well I recently got started on a Primal diet (lifestyle) and it has been doing well for me, my stomach is much flatter and I get to eat tastey meats and veggies! I have gone down to about 110 - 112 ( I am 5'4 if anyone is wondering) I'm trying to gain weight through muscle and Have been doing workout (awesome high intensity ST!!) We are going to vegas in september and I will have more comparison pics then!!! :-D

My goals are to get a leaner body with more muscle mass through heavier lifting and to eat through mostly a primal/paleo lifestyle with a few indulgences every now and then.

    I requested the book from the library, look forward to reading it. I agree, all those things are unnatural to have after you've eaten. I'd be interested to see how people look before/after gluten. I'm going to Google it.

    Thanks, I'll look for that book at the library next time. You're right, it probably is a matter of getting used to no grains/bread, like anything else. Do you find you react strongly now when you eat it, after being off it?

    How do you manage to avoid grain and breads? I agree with you on people not knowing they are having food allergies. I've read how it is really unnatural for humans to drink milk after being an infant. I think that is a very good point. I have Almond or Rice milk instead of regular for cereals, etc. but regular milk is in a lot of recipes I make. I didn't know that about whole, I think it wasn't good because it is fattier. We use 1%. Something to look into I guess.

    Your dairy alternative suggestions are great, thank you.

    I am going to talk to my doctor about it and see what she thinks. If it is what is causing my problems, it is worth getting rid of.

    Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'll look at your blogs for your one on fitspo. I think it can be positive and encouraging, but at the same time, seeing those 'perfect' bodies all the time can really get a person down and feel like they wont be like that....and most likely they wont. I know I wont. I am okay with that now :-)

    Looked at that site you shared. Going to consider getting a 1/4 or half beef I think - unless my chiropractor will sell me the same for less. :)
