I want to consider it pure joy to learn to live and care for my body in a healthy way! I want it to be more about what I gain in health and in freedom from the bondage of food, than about what I give up.

Fitness Minutes: 2,337

My Goals:
1. Track the calories I consume...a real eye opener for me!
2. Excercise 3 x week at a minimum.

I would like to lose weight and see my clothes fit me better, but what I really want is to start making healthy habits now that don't have to be undone years down the road!

My Program:
I try to do 3-5 miles a day with a variety of the aerobic walking DVDs by Leslie Sansone. Excercise DVDs are about the only thing that work for me in this busy season with a house full of kiddos. I am up early and try to get in my miles before anyone is awake!

I try to use the nutrion tracker faithfully and that keeps me target for reaching my goals.

Personal Information:
My name is Suzanne and I live in rural Michigan. I am a homeschooling mom of 5 kids (ages 3-10) and (most days) I wouldn't trade my job for anything. I married my best friend 14 years ago. We have been blessed beyond measure!!

Other Information:
Weight struggles are not new to me or my immediate family. Eight years ago I was diagnosed with Graves Disease and following my radioactive iodine treatment my weight gain continued while they tried to balance my hormone levels. Thankfully, they tell me I am "normal" now.

I have struggled through each of my pregnancies with gaining too much weight. I was at my heaviest 5 years ago at 206 lbs. I lost 60 pounds over the course of a year and have let some of that sneak back on. I am making changes now because I want to set a healthy life-style example for my children!
