4/2010:
I am happy to say that I have now reached many of my weight loss goals! I broke the 200lb mark, broke the 180lb mark, broke the 170lb mark! And I'm no longer "obese" on my BMI. Now my goal is to be a "normal" BMI, currently considered "overweight."

I feel like me again and can actually buy clothes that I like and not only just fit well. I can move around, run up stairs, and actually see some awesome arm muscles. I've been working out with a personal trainer and on my own, and I've seen great results! So happy right now with the way things are going, but working on staying on the wagon with all this Easter candy around, argh!

8/2009:
I am here for support in my journey of weight loss. I want my body back. When I look in the mirror, I know it's not the real me. The clothes I buy aren't even things that I would like to wear...they just fit and don't embarrass me to wear them in public. I used to be so in tune with my body, dancing everyday. Now I spend my day at work doing mental exercise while neglecting my body. This must change. I'm a busy working Mom of 2 boys, and I want to keep up with them and have fun with them actively. As a nurse in the nursing home I see many diseases in their end stage, and I want to avoid that for myself. I must improve my BMI to avoid getting Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Cholesterol, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Kidney Disease. This is the beginning of a journey that I know will be both difficult and wonderful. I am currently on a very low calorie diet in preparation for my gastric surgery on August 10th. It brings tears to my eyes as I'm losing weight to know that I'll never see that on the scale again. Keep me in your prayers as I take this giant step to health.

Fitness Minutes: 263

My Goals:
Acheive a "normal" BMI. This would be 145lbs.

Continue exercising on a regular basis to further lose weight and tone muscles I never really saw before but have now come back to life!

Avoid chronic illness.


My Program:
Eat protein and veggies, low fat dairy, some fruit, few fat, and only high fiber carbs.



Personal Information:
I am married, have two young sons...6 years old and 2 years old. I work as a nurse practitioner in a nursing home.



Other Information:
Looking forward to gardening weather and Spring cleaning!

    I saw this idea on The Secret website somewhere. Grab the book you are currently reading or the nearest book to you, turn to page 32, and read the fourth line. What wisdom does it give you?

    I tried it, and oddly I had stopped reading on page 32 the night before. The book was Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder. My quote was, "But we'll take things in their correct order."
