I am a mother of 5. With each baby I have a lot to lose, but this has been my biggest gain. There were a lot of other stressors in my life that contributed as well. I need to lose about 115lbs to be considered in a healthy weight range. I really want to make that happen. I want to know what that feels like and be able to be a better mother and person. Part of this is gaining a better relationship with food. I have admitted that it has gotten very out of control and I want to change. My husband has about 65lbs to lose so he will be joining me. Our efforts together always do better.

My Goals:
-To get down to 150lbs since that is the weight limit for the slide on our playground. Stop having to tell my kids I am too BIG to play with them.
-Be able to run and play soccer, frisbee, etc. with my kids for extended periods of time.
-Be able to go on an all day hike or even a backpacking over-night trip.
- Control my sweet tooth and eating habits and not let them control me.
- Eventually be in a healthy BMI range. I want to know what it feels like to have a healthy body!

My Program:
Step #1: Not eat while cooking
Step #2: Not finish my kids food for them
I am adding one step a week to my program. You can look at my blog to see what I have learned and why I picked those steps. I am trying to exercise as well, but I decided to focus more on changing eating habits first. Then get in to some exercise "steps."

    Thanks for the Spark goodie and comment on my blog! I know it isn't easy living with someone who eats goodies, my hubby does too so there is always something tempting in the house. The thing is I want to be thin, healthy and happy MORE than I want those goodies. I no longer wake up in the morning hating myself and think "darn, I blew it again yesterday". Now I wake up and feel proud of the new healthier me. The other morning I actually woke up and thought "I'm not fat any more!". emoticon

    Focus on all the good stuff - more energy, how good you feel when you are in control, etc. you've done this before and you can do it again. The more you flex that "good choice muscle" the stronger it gets!
