My goal is to be about 125...I'm at about 137 now...one more month til summer!

My Story::

I always considered myself average. But in actuality I was overweight. I was pretty active in high school but ate terribly...then I went off to college. 2 years of drinking ALOT..haha Plus rarely eating breakfast and eating alot of pizza and fast food took a toll!
I think I was in denial because I didn't really notice...I never weighed myself because once again I didn't want to be obsessed with my weight. Then I started noticing that in pictures I was looking pretty chunky...but of course I blamed it on the angle of the shot.
Well I finally weighed myself and got my body fat % checked at a local health club and whoa! I was 185 pounds with 39% body fat. How did this happen? How did I NOT notice? That was when I knew I had to make a change and for life.

I started on herbalife which is the #1 nutrition company in the world. I think alot of people haven't heard of it because independent distributors sell the products. I was already working out so I kept up with that. I learned about protein and complex carbs while making gradual changes to my diet. I made sure I had a shake as soon as I got up with another for lunch. (These were meal replacement shakes with plenty of protein to keep me full) I would snack mid morning as well as mid afternoon to keep my metabolism up. For dinner I focused on lean protein with salad or a vegetable. I pretty much just stopped buying chips and ice cream [my weaknesses!] I knew that if I was purchasing these shake products I wasn't going to waste my money by eating terrible for the rest of my meals.
I started feeling really good. Fast food wasn't quite as appealing to me and anywho... I lost 5 pounds my first month (I was still trying to figure out my diet)..and went on to lose 20 within 3 months.
Currently I'm at 137 pounds down from 185..it's crazy to me! It's great to feel like I finally have control of something. Especially when I decide to have kids..I don't want to struggle with baby weight..now I know how to eat. Food is fuel..although I do splurge on the occasional slice of pizza or ice cream once in awhile :)
I have found that balance and it's awesome! Now I'm trying to focus on my friends and family getting healthy :)

My Goals:

My focus is to lose about 10-15 more pounds putting me at 125-130. I'm really proud of my accomplishments and I really want to make this a lifestyle change and work to tone my body before swimsuit season :) [And also run a 5k!]


My Program:
- Drink 6-7 bottles of water a day (16 oz. bottle)
- Workout 3-4 times a week
- More protein!
- Avoid candy and fried foods as often as possible
- Consume more fruits and veggies



Personal Information:
Hey I'm Chelsea and currently in Superior, WI. I'm a pretty big Vikings fan and love to be outside!
I love to dance, play volleyball, go out with friends, camping, bonfires, etc.
I got into herbalife which helped me lose 45 pounds and I'm hoping to get rid of those last few!

    we joined anytime. pretty sure it's the only gym near by lol... it all started because corey's mom wanted to go before she goes to Hawaii, so she asked me to join with her. well then rick gets a discount because of where he works, and we couldn't leave corey out... lol so it's a family thing :)

    So sorry for taking a little while to comment back! So today is the day...I'm gettin' kinda nervous, but I have a pretty optimistic feeling about tonight!

    I know herbalife! I was almost a rep for their product but I just didn't have the time to sell it. Its amazing product though and I've heard of a lot of success on it. Obviously, look at you! :) 100 grams is a good number to shoot for. My trainer told me that if you want to be lean, shoot for 1 g for every lb that you weigh. That's a TON of protein! I usually only get in about 60 so I definitely need to shoot for more! I hope you've had a good weekend and I hope it ends happily tonight! GO VIKINGS!

    Thanks for commenting on my vlog and I'm so sorry it was so dang hard to listen to! haha I'm so glad that the Vikings are in the NFC championship! Honestly, even if we don't win this Sunday, I'll still be really satisfied with the season! Brett Farve rocks, but only cuz he now rocks the purple. All of our guys are on fire. I really really hope that we win this weekend! I really really hope they win the Superbowl! AAAHHH!

    Congrats on losing the 40 lbs! That's excellent! How did you do it?
