I am a grandma who decided I wanted to sit on the floor and play with my first grandchild. But I couldn't. So I started going to the gym, signed up with a personal trainer, and eating better. Over the last 18 months, I lost 50 pounds!
But I'm getting a little stuck, so I came here for more support and motivation to lose another 50 pounds in the end. And I've made it to "onderland" with the BLC.
I love lighthouses and how they combine the practical job of guiding ships to shore, they are inspirational to me. I love to think of their light showing me the rocks and shoals that will keep me from my goal of a healthy life.

Other Information:
A quote from Anne Perry’s Tathea offered me thought provoking words on war that have application to my internal battles:

“Do you want to fight for what is true so the wisdom and the light can belong to anyone who wants it? He said with sharp urgency. “Remember, there is no middle ground . . . We are for the light, the beauty, the good, or we are for darkness, pain, and bondage. There is no place between, only the illusion of it, and that too is a creation of the enemy, the eternal lie, that you can win without battle, reap without cost, triumph without courage or pain.” (p. 268)

Hi Carolyn! I am flying with the Falcons this week and have been exploring the team member pages. I wanted to let you know that I think you are doing a great job on your health journey. I read your last blog and felt really inspired by your inner strength, and your awareness of it. It looks like you are getting really close to your goal! And I say that with having the same goal weight! I had reached 180 on my journey, but this year has taken a bit of a toll, and I climbed back up the scale. I am trying to use the BLC to get moving back in the right direction. When you work the challenges it really does make a difference, and it is fun to have companions on the journey! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the remarks. That dog has been a great walking companion. She is 11 years old and still walks everywhere. I don't know that I'd bring her to Ikea EVER, but she does enjoy the outdoors and riding in the car and running the last little bit home.

I love your working out every day. You are really making this work for you.
