I have been struggling to lose weight....only to see my weight go up! :( I had done before but got discouraged and stopped. Now everyone I'm told about this site is losing weight and making me feel bad. Maybe I didnt give the site a good try and I probably didnt work hard enough. So ROUND TWO has begun!

My Goals:
My goal is to get heathy, get down to a smaller size so I can wear the cute clothes I see, and not shop in the plus size section anymore. I feel like I hide in my clothes 'cause everything I don't have is to revealing, or tight. Either way spells disaster! Miss the body I had all those years ago!!!

My Program:
I have been going to the gym with my boyfriend. I do 10 mintues on the treadmill, 10 on the elipitcal, and 20 on the bike, and add in weights for my arms, chest, and back at least once a week. We mainly go after I get out of class, and Saturday nights right now. With Summer coming on that will change. I recently started trying the Fat Burn on the cardio machines. never the same day but rotating them so which ever one it is does 50 mintues instead of 10 or 20.

Personal Information:
I live in Hattiesburg, MS right now. Can't say I'll be here forever, but in no hurry to leave again.

Work full time at Camp Shelby with the title of Building Maintence and Grounds Keeper.

Go to PRCC full time with a double major in English and Psychology with the goal of finishing all core requirements, and then some before transfering to USM.

Other Information:
I love to read books and comics.
I enjoy movies, WWE, Supernatural, Smallville, Merlin, etc.
I like all kinds of music which makes it easy for me to listen to anything when around my friends who had set tastes, but hard to stay awake on long trips with my boyfriend when all his instrumental music puts me to sleep since thats what I use to do a total unwind and relaxation (classical music was my bed time music for the longest).

    Oh, my dear, cheesecake is one of my major weaknesses too. I will say that when I go out to eat (maybe once a month) I throw the rules out the window and eat what I want. That's MY treat. I try to make healthier choices for my sides because I'm not a fan of things like french fries anyways, I'll usually choose a veggie soup or a salad. Then, I balance it out by sticking to vegetables and small portions of lean meats the rest of the day. Usually I can bring in my calorie count under the daily limit that way and still enjoy my treat.

    Good luck with getting started again. Dieting is so hard. I have a problem with over doing it when I do eat desserts. One piece never seems to be enough. That's why I just try to stay away from things like that as much as possible because if its in the house, I will eat it all up until it is gone. I am tryin to do better because I am tired of the scale rollercoaster with my weight going down and then back up again.

    I have found a few things that help me here. The workout vids and exercises they give us are pretty helpful. One of my biggest challenges is being able to get myself moving with the equipment and space I have. The strength training exercises are great for me. I do track my food, but I take their recommendations about carbs with a grain of salt. I used to be a huge critic of atkins and things like that until I had to cut carbs to kill yeast overgrowth. Then, like magic, I felt a LOT healthier and just full and comfy all the time. So, I tend to eat less than the balance of carbs sparkpeople wants me to, but not as extreme as atkins. So yeah, Sparkpeople is really helpful as long as you can figure out which advice to discard to make the program work for you.
