Things Sparkpeople has taught me:
1) Never give up.
2) Misery may love company but being in the company of happy people (i.e. Sparkfriends) will get you through the misery.
3) Confidence is a learned trait and fake it until you make it!
4) Exercise really does make me happier (and healthier).
5) Weight loss, fitness and healthy living are a journey not a destination.

I am on this journey for the long haul - I've left SP for months at a time and always come back. I would love some new Sparkfriends because a lot of folks left along the way and did not come back :( - and back to #2 I like the company for this journey!

My Goals:
2016 Goals:

I am going to see if I can get to 140 lbs which would finally get me to a normal BMI for my age/height. I hate being short.

Continue to run and compete in a 5k every other month.


DONE:

Hit 155 on 1/12/16 that's 70lbs in just over a year.

Ran "Reindeer Run 5k" on 12/5/15 in 34.28 my personal best

Ran "Run for Your Life": 5k in October 24, 2015 in 39.11 minutes my PB!

Get to 165 by August 1-7, 2015 - GOT to 171.2 - got to 164.6 on August 31, 2015!!!!

175lbs which is 50lbs down since January 2015 (reached 6/14/2015)

UNDER 200 by March 1, 2015. - ALMOST hanging in at 201! - Reached 3/6/2015

182 by June 1st 2015. This would put me at the lowest weight I have seen since 2000. - Reached 5/14/15

PAST goals achieved:
12/9/10: 10% weight loss - achieved, ahead of goal date.

10/24/10: race-walked my 1st 5k in 47.45 minutes.

10/1/11: walk/jogged my 2nd 5k in


My Program:
1) Low-carb (less than 30gm daily) High Fat (started on Rosedale Diet which is a Ketogenic promoting plan - have adapted it somewhat but still adhere to same principles) - eat clean, stop when I'm full, drinking lots of water.

2) Exercise 5 days a week at least 30 min, have started doing HIIT, plus whatever extra activity I can fit in.

3) Had to stop weighing weekly as it psyches me out! So now only 2x a month.
