WELCOME TO MY SPARKPAGE!!

My name is Cindy, and my journey with weight problems began when I was nine years old. I had always been a thin child until the age of nine, at which time I began to gain weight. My parents, brother, and other members of my family were not overweight, with the exception of one uncle on my fathers side.
Throughout my teenage and early adult years I was about 15-30 pounds overweight, not obese but still teased by classmates, friends and family, and later by coworkers and boyfriends. I would get control of my weight for periods of time but always gained it back again.
Food addiction has been a problem for me and I am learning not to use food to try to fix a problem or for social reasons.
I am working hard to change my life through healthy eating and living. My involvement with Sparkpeople is helping me reclaim my self esteem and to like myself for who I am now and not what someone else wants me to be.
The support of the people on this site has really opened my eyes and is helping me to slowly become the person I want to be.
GOALS:
Get back on track with my fitness, and continue to work toward my goal of losing 30 pounds by the end of the year 2016.
