    I just watched "That Sugar Film" on Amazon Prime Video. It is eye-opening. Some favorite paraphrased quotes: "It's not the calories -it's the source of the calories" and "Food + sugar stirs an emotional component. We have to heal ourselves emotionally". This is an amazing film and really hits close to home. You try to eat well and reward yourself with dessert, but the fact is that you are eating entirely too much sugar throughout the day. I am starting to count my sugar grams, whether added sugar or not, to see just how difficult it is to stay below the 6 tsp. recommended per day. I am now 50 and for the first time in my life, have developed belly fat despite not eating anymore than I have for the last 2 decades. I am worried that my liver is starting to become overwhelmed and I am be pre-diabetic. A very scary thought. The film gives hope that fatty liver deposits can be reversed. Highly recommended film!

    The flowers and blossoms are filling the air with the smells of Spring. This is the time to start preparing for the Summer. Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of June. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.
