It’s been so long since I updated my page due to not having any lasting success in weight loss. I am happy to report that in February 2018 we were blessed to have our prayers answered for another dog after our beloved Golden Retriever passed away. Aspen (Siberian Husky) is about two years old and came from the shelter. She got the entire family exercising twice a day due to this breed’s energy level. Since then, I’ve lost about 10 pounds. I can’t remember this last time I lost any weight before that it had been so long. This time I have a new attitude toward weight loss which is putting my spiritual life first and not worrying about tracking food. I know how to eat healthy already and not tracking has made this journey more enjoyable for me. Surprisingly enough, not tracking has not worked for me in the past but apparently this is a new plan Lord willing from Him. Spiritually, I am satisfied and peaceful most days and have a deeper appreciation for life. God is so good!

Back to square one! My claim to fame has always been I've never gained all my weight back, but I can't say that anymore. I had thyroid problems and didn't get enough exercise the past 18 months and now I have 55 pounds to lose. It's time to spark it off. My plan of action is to exercise at least 100 minutes daily, eat within my calorie range, and weigh in weekly.

About seven years ago, I changed my lifestyle to a healthy one. In about eighteen months, I went from a size 18 to size 6. What a fantastic feeling and achievement! Over the last year or two, I have put back twenty-two pounds. What happened? I did not track my food intake. So even though I never returned to my old diet and habits, I did overeat. My new motto is, "Don't track and you'll be back."

Since I've been with SP, I've lost and regained 10 pounds. Once I start looking good, I drop the ball on exercise, tracking, or both. The only good thing I can say is I've never regained to my original weight. I'm recommitting and will never give up. To a new me in the New Year!
