My name is Victoria Jean Bushaw-Boichot. I was married on September 02, 1989. I was divorced on September 27,2006. This picture was taken in August, 2006 at a Jazz Fest in Monroe, MI. I weighed 149lbs when this picture was taken.

When I got married, my ex husband was working at that time but left his job. He was a radio broadcaster. He would not let me work. I finally talked him into allowing me to work, but he would not let me stay with my jobs. Things got worse and eventually we were homeless. My ex-husband didn't believe in shelters so I had to spend many years without shelter. I often went hungry and if people would give my ex-husband money, he would only spend it on cheese crackers and kept the money for himself.

After almost 15 years of marriage, I decided to be brave enough to call it quits. I tried to help my ex-husband but he would hit me at times and I had to hit him back. I knew that I wouldn't live another year if I had to live the way my ex-husband had me to live. I told him that I wasn't going to Grand Rapids, MI that I was going to leave him. I went to get my things and my ex-husband jumped me from behind. I had to fight for my life, for my ex-husband was trying to smother me to death. I fought him for 2-3 hours. He let me go after I smacked the front of his mouth and knocked out what teeth he had left in his mouth. The police arrested him and I was able to get away from him.

I went to my first shelter and was pleased to find that it wasn't bad at all. The problem was that I would eat very fast as if it were my last meal. I am still eating like that.

I am trying to change my eating habits. I need help and disipline in doing so. I want to change my eating habits.

I am planning to write everything in a Journel of what I eat and drink so I can improve my eating habits. I can't drink or eat anything with milk in it. I am using soy milk. Can I use it for baking? Is there anywhere that I can get cheese that is made from soy beans? I would like to know this because I love cheese and that would be very hard for me to give up.

    My goodness, you have had quite a life my dear. It is amazing what a long way you have come.

    It is wonderful that you are taking care of yourself and trusting in the Lord to heal you in all areas of your life.

    I want to keep in touch with you throughout 2008 and beyound because you know you stopped by my page and left a piece of your success... Your hard work... and you know what you also left some motivation that really put a smile on my face.

    If there is one thing I miss more than anything is being able to run. I know someday I might be able to do it again, but until I can do that I'm going to keep myself focused on Spinning and using the E-Bike at the gym. Also walking is something I want to add to my list of things I need to do this year.
