My Wellness Vision:
~I will have a healthy & strong body.
~I will overcome my physical limitations to achieve my wellness vision.
~I will educate myself on exercise & proper diet.
~I will eat healthfully & learn what foods are fuels for a healthier body.
~I will feel better mentally, as well as physically.
~I will hike to places I've only seen through other people's photos and take my own photos.
~I will dress again in my beloved vintage clothing.
~I will enjoy traveling without the restrictions of my current size & physical ailments.


To start, I am 44 yrs young. I live in beautiful NW Montana, near Glacier National Park. I've been divorced/single for 11 yrs. I have a 19 yr old Daughter and a 17 yr old Son who are amazing! I've realized that i've spent so much time making sure their every need has been met to help them to become the amazing young people they are that i've neglected myself in the process. It is now time for me to take time for myself. Before i know it, they will both be out on their own and i'll still be sitting 100 lbs overweight and wondering the why's and how's of it all. It is MY time for ME now...and I wont feel bad for it. I've recently quit working in the line of work I've been in for the last 20 yrs...tired of sitting on my butt and watching myself become more and more uncomfortable as time goes on. Crazy as it sounds, this chubby mama got herself a job in a gym!! The people i work for are amazing and are the best cheerleaders I could ever hope for. They believe in me and that has helped ME to believe in ME too! They are who introduced me to SparkPeople and i'm so thankful they did!

My hope is to meet people like me through this site. To educate myself in ways i've always wanted to be educated in. To be able to educate others in the process as I learn too. I have submerged myself in an environment that, I feel, will ensure success to reach the goals i've set for myself. This is real. I'm going to do this. I've tried and failed too many times with too many other programs and processes...but not this time. That proverbial wall people always talk about hitting??? Ya...i may have hit it....but i knocked that SOB to the ground and it wont get the best of me ever again.

I look forward to new friendships and support and i hope to offer the same to others. Hit me up and....

Fitness Minutes: 7,069

My Goals:
To be that weight loss success story I've always dreamed i could be.

My current long term goal is to be below 200 lbs (it's been 25+ yrs since i've felt what that feels like...i am currently at my highest weight of 243 lbs).

My current weekly goal is to work out a minimum of 4 days per week (after all, i work in a gym 4 days per week...so i really have no excuses.) I have completely revamped my nutritional intake and I cant believe how much better i feel!


My Program:
Just getting started.....again...New goals, new challenges, new cheerleaders in my corner....

I recently started working for an amazing company that puts me in constant contact with people who live successfully healthy lifestyles and they are teaching me so much just in being in the same environment every day.



Personal Information:
Single Mom of 2 amazing teenagers...yes, I really said that. I use humor to hide my self loathing. I'm the chubby lady who happens to work at a fitness center. I also work as a Karaoke DJ (or a KJ).
