I have been on the maintenance track since reaching my goal in December 2007. Thanks to Spark and WW, I was able to drop 30+ pounds back then and I have done pretty well at keeping it off. :)

Now, I am back for a "refresher" and am focusing once again on getting back-on-track! This sure is a lifelong journey - and one that will require us all to check back in time and again. But you know what? That's the beauty of it! With Spark, we can check back, motivate one another, and get back to where we want to be. We can all do it - with and through one another!

I've been a Lifetime WW member for going on 4 years now and I have maintained my weight since. I haven't gone over that goal and I've done pretty darn well on staying "on track!" Now, I'm focusing on losing the last 9 lbs that I've been toying with. I'm in the healthy range for my height, have a healthy BMI and am feeling good, but I want to reach this personal goal for myself. :-)

--------- UPDATE: January, 2010 ----------------
I began my journey on Spark back in April, 2007. And now, nearly three years later, I am a happier, healthier me! I continue to learn new ways to live healthily, and still enjoy the support and motivation of the Spark network of wonderful people!

I met my first and second goals pretty quickly and have maintained for two and a half years now - but am continually setting other goals to attain. Right now, I'm gearing up for summer and hoping to get back "on track" with my healthy regimen - and I know I can do it with Spark!

Here I am, a two and a half year veteran of Spark. I love the site, love the people, and overall love how much I've discovered about myself! I've reached my goal, maintained it, and now set a further goal that I am taking my time to reach. It's pretty good to feel so...well, good! ;-)

I love to meet new Spark friends, and really appreciate the advice that is shared! We can all use pick-me-ups sometimes! I'm here to lend a helping hand to anyone that needs it - so don't hesitate to send me a message! I'm here!

I love to blog, and do frequently. I try to use the blog as my creative outlet while also using it as a means to share/get advice. Sometimes just writing something out helps make more sense of it! It's amazing how many times that's helped me!

I can't wait to meet you all, and keep plugging along this lifetime journey of mine! =)

I'm graduated. I'm married. I just moved into our beautiful home. I'm happy. I'm determined.

--------- UPDATE: June 3, 2009 ----------------
I'm a soon-to-be bride and soon-to-be college graduate on a mission. With one week left until graduation, my goal is to feel confident up on that stage as a number of people come to celebrate with me. My goal is to enjoy the moment. Fully.

With 45 days left until I walk down the isle, my goal is to continue to build a better understanding of my own confidence. I want to feel good that day, and be able to enjoy these moments that are so important - without being hampered by self consciousness. I want to appreciate my figure, myself, how far I've come - while working to go even farther.

I am setting goals that are attainable. I'm taking control. And I'm going to have the best darn summer ever. Oh, and I might just try a bikini - yep, I might take that huge plunge! My friends are telling me to, and apparently I'm the only one that thinks I can't wear one, so I think I need to bite the bullet, get over my internal arguments, and wear one on my honeymoon.

I want to be confident as a graduate. A bride. A beach "honeymooner."

I'm a chick with a mission, darn it!

---------- UPDATE: May 18, 2009 ----------------
Wow. Been a while! So, I'm a long-time "Sparker", but I've failed miserably at checking in lately. It's time to get back on track! Spark is such a healthy motivation for me that it truly does make this endless battle of healthiful living easier.

I still haven't gained anything back and I'm super happy about that. But, as tends to happen when you lose weight, I now want to lose even more! Now that I know what I can do, I feel like the possibilities are endless to me - and I can conquer everything!

I got engaged this Christmas, and am getting married this summer and I would like to lose some before my "white-dress day."

I'm re-starting my goals and going to get out of my slump. Once you find what works, it's easy to get complacent and stuck there. That is where I am at this moment. I need to get back on track and focus on changing the things I need to change to make my life even better!

I'm here to vent, share, talk, talk the talk, and walk the walk! If you need advice, let me know! If you have advice, please share that to! Together we can do anything!

---------- UPDATE: December 14, 2007 ----------------
Well, what a journey it has been! What's the biggest lesson I have learned? It's a journey that is never over! I used to think "if I just get this weight off, I can go back to 'normal.'" Well, I was wrong. It's about learning a new lifestyle - and one that you have to maintain for the rest of your life. That's so important to remember because it's very easy to get sucked back in to the same old unhealthy habits.

I'm now at my goal and am also a "Lifetime Member" of Weight Watchers. I am the biggest advocate for the WW program because if I could do it - especially as someone who works full time and is a full time student - anyone can!

I still go to my weekly meetings because accountability is important - and that's the way I stay accountable! I also track ALL food I consume DAILY. At the beginning of my program, I would "round down" and "forget" to track. Well, I learned early on that doing so only hurts me in the long run. Being 100% honest with yourself is the only way you will lose - and if you are, you WILL lose! ;-P

I am still trying to shed a few more pounds, but it's nice to be comfortable for the first time in a long time. I'm at a healthy BMI, I'm wearing a size 7 (my goal was a 9!), and I'm feeling great! I still struggle daily with urges to eat unhealthily, suffer minor setbacks here and there, and am working on trying to improve my self-image. Weight is 90% mental - once it comes off physically, you still have to train your brain so you can get it off mentally.

---------- UPDATE: September 9, 2007 ----------------
Not only am I finally in the healthy weight range, I am also past my 10% goal AND able to start the maintenance program as I work to lose the last couple of pounds that I want to lose. I'm so excited - I never thought I would get to be a lifetime member of WW!

At first, I personally couldn't tell that I had lost anything - and I was getting discouraged. Now, everyone's comments and reactions when they see me after a while have shown me that I must look different, so I am starting to see it myself. It's really odd - it takes a while to register when your own body changes.

My crowning moment? Well, I've been feeling ill lately and down with everything going on, so I went to have lunch with my best friend. I told her beforehand that I would be in jeans, not spruced up, and looking pretty sickly. Well, when I saw her, she said:

"You feel sick right now, and yet, you look the best you ever have!"

I trust my best friend more than anyone to tell me the truth. I felt so great - I even forgot about being sick for a while!! :-)

------------Starting Out: April 8, 2007-------------------------
Hello! I am a college student/work-a-holic in Washington State. I work full time and attend school full time at the University of Washington - I've got a busy lifestyle, and that's been my excuse for my weight for a long time now. I have been on the "yo-yo" diet plan for years now and that has really hurt my weight. I can't seem to shed the 20-some pounds that I really want to lose. Though I am about 12 pounds from my highest weight, I still need to lose more. Those 12 fell off pretty easily but the rest is really hanging on for dear life!

I want to not only lose the weight, but also get healthy. I want to feel more energetic, lighter, and more confident in myself by July. I may not be wearing a bathing suit (I hate those things!) by this summer but I sure do want to be able to pull out my shorts! :)

I can't wait to meet some great friends through Spark! Together, anything is possible! :)
