Sorry that I've been silent for so long! I'm glad the storm didn't cause you any issues.

His best friend?!?! That is so wrong. He's her dad, not her friend. Dumb...bunny. (I censored myself! :D)

Three years (or maybe five) will go by faster than you think! Hope you can make it and retire comfortably.

DD and her BF have moved in with us. Their lease was up and their roommates decided to move out. They couldn't find new roommates and could not afford the place on their own. They are going to live with us to save money and maybe buy their own house when the market is less crazy. We'll see how this goes.

Sorry for the delay!!! Life totally got in the way! Did any of the storms hit you or your family? Is the "storm season" over?

L's folks are idiots. I'm glad you can help her out and be there for her.

We have a new person starting on Monday and I will be taking the lead on training him. That should help me fill some of my days. My micro-manager lead scheduled a mtg for us at 7 on Monday morning. I can't tell if she actually wants to meet or if that's her way of telling me how to train him or ???? I guess I'll find out on Monday!

How are things with you? Has it cooled down? And how's the reorg at work going?

L is a young graduate! Her parents needed to sign a form that said she resides with you and they wouldn't do it?? They are NOT good parents! I am glad she has you to help her out.

My job is good. I'm in limbo right now between projects. My lead is swamped, so she is telling the boss that our group has no resources to take on additional projects. Meanwhile, I am reading my book club book while at work because I have nothing else to do. Oh well. It'll get better.

They never ask the people who do the work if the decisions make sense. And then they wonder why things go awry.

Hope the insurance merry-go-round doesn't last too long and you can start feeling better soon.

It's been in the 90's here, so not exactly cool weather for the fair. But, they try to get the fair done before school starts since so many kids have animals at the fair and have to be there all day, every day. Then again, we're not humid here. :)

I'm sorry that your knee is hurting and that the gel shots are not working. I had a friend who had both of her hips replaced around 50. If you had surgery now, how long would you expect the knee to last? Cos if it's long enough, it might be worth it to feel better!

Combining curriculum and Continuing Education? Does that make sense? and save the college money?

Is L a senior this year? Is she going to your college when she graduates?

DH and I went to the fair today. We each had a corn dog and walked around. Tried out some massage chairs. It was nice to have a couple of hours just to hang out!

Wow! You have been busy! I hope the reorg at work is in your favor. How long until that shake up is all done?

My mom had surgery at the end of July, hip replacement. I stayed with her for a couple of weeks while she was recovering. She is doing much better now...got permission to drive today! I'm still doing her grocery shopping and laundry ans stuff like that, so I've been busy too. But your busy sounds more fun!
