Hi there - I am 48 with 2 kids and have struggled with my weight for years - even when I was thin, I thought I was fat.
August 2015 - at my highest ever - not sure how I let that happen, but I am hoping to conquer it one day at a time.

Okay - that's not all! I just didn't want to write a big up beat update to only fail again. I have joined the 5% winter challenge - looking forward to connecting with old friends and meeting new ones. I have a great new exercise partner - her name is Sweetie and she is my little rescue dog. I have made a commitment to her to exercise everyday. So far she has kept me going outside to walk even when I don't want to go out into the cold.

BACK again! I am back up in the 240s but finally starting to do something about it. Tracking things currently through on my iphone - mainly like how easy it is to put in food and exercise (barcode scanner), but this place has so much more so I am going to try and use both interactively. No big promises this time, just trying to get here on a daily basis and be more positive in my life. Having a rather negative work environment recently has really taken a toll on me in the health department - I know I am the only one who can take charge and make the positive changes for myself. So here I am - back again!

Fitness Minutes: 12,622

My Goals:
My goal is to get down to about 160 or 170, but I really need to take it in baby steps b/c that goal is way to overwhelming. So - I am going to focus on the first 20 - hopefully losing about 1-2 pounds per week.

Right now my goal weight date is 170 by October ths year.

My Program:
I'm taking it one day at at time - walking walking walking - usually with the dog. Goal is to run a 5k again this year, but need to recover from heel pain first.

Tracking all food here and trying to stay within my calories. Focus is also on limiting wheat as I seem to feel better without it.

Trying to look within to find some answers.

I need to figure out how to prove to myself that I am worth the effort.

Personal Information:
I am 45 with an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy - both are fit and thin like my husband!
I work as a counsellor to help unemployed people get back to work.
I tend to eat when I am upset, bored, stressed - you name it!! 8 years ago, I lost 60 pounds with a good friend - I have gained it back (+) and she has keep it off and has lost over 100 pounds now. In 2011, I lost 35. Work stress then packed it back on.

    Good morning, Great to hear from you! Sounds like you've got a great start to a fit day. I'll be busy today, Pig in the Park event- Eastern NC pig cooking/fund raiser event. And, this evening going to a race- (cars)-5 divisions-long night, but lots of fun. I will have to resist lots of temptation. I have my determination guns loaded, and am prepared for battle emoticon .     Hey there, it's been a couple of years. Still taking care of my Dad, 3 1/2 yrs in. I've regressed on my loss and am sitting here in tears after watching, on demand, season finale of Biggest Loser. Got a friend request today, for the first time in a couple of years, thought it was a sign and decided today is the day to start another mission towards change. Hope you're okay and will venture with me for a new life change. Spring is here and we must grasp another opportunity for a fresh, refocused start! emoticon emoticon T
