Hey y'all!
Hi Everyone!
First of all thanks to everyone here at SparkPeople for the amazing journey the past few years have been.
I'd like to thank everyone for voting for me as Motivational Sparker. Which was the catalyst for the amazing opportunities that I have been blessed with this year. If you had told me I'd ever be lucky enough to be in People Magazine or on The Today Show, I'd have told you, that you were crazy. I'm just a normal girl with a not so normal story.

Yes, I was 340lbs, I know for a fact I was that heavy and may have been a few lbs heavier at 2 points in my life because I stopped checking after it got that high. I was in the 330lb range my senior year in high school and when I was pregnant with my daughter. My daughter is my inspiration for this journey. I want to be the best Mom I can be, I don't want my daughter to ever be embarrassed of me for my appearance (I'm sure I'll give her other reasons to be embarrassed though), I wanted to be able to run around and play with her, and I never wanted to put her through loosing her mother early in life because I ate myself to death.
So now the million dollar question, how am I doing it? I wish I could tell everyone there was a simple solution or an amazing pill, but if there is one, I haven't found it. It has taken almost 16 months now and lots of hard work. So here is my plan. I limit to 1200- 1500 calories a day, I try to make sure those calories are quality calories, like staying away from white carbs and all that stuff they tell you to avoid. I started working out 3 times a week and have now worked up to working up almost every day for an hour. I mix cardio and weight training throughout my week. I allow myself one splurge meal a week to keep myself from going nuts, and I splurge on vacations, I just balance it with working out.
If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I love all the comments and messages. They help to encourage me on this last leg of my journey.
