It's been 1.5 years since my knee reconstruction surgery following an injury in early 2012. Despite having worked hard throughout physical therapy and exercise to regain over 90% of my flexibility and strength, I'm still struggling to push through the doubts I have about my abilities. Sometimes the knee becomes a self-imposed limit. I'm trying to change that!

Fitness Minutes: 31,113

My Goals:
- Reach my weight goal by June 24, 2014.

- Eat something green every day. Green gummy bears don't count!

- Cut down on my sugar intake. Began the Tame Your Sweet Tooth Challenge on January 1, 2014.

- Be able to do the splits

- Learn to do a handstand

- Declutter my life by selling or donating my excess possessions

- Be more mindful of what I do buy. Is it a want or a need? What resources went into making it? Was it made locally? Is it build to last? Can I buy it secondhand?

My Program:
Visit the gym on my lunch break 5 days per week for 60 minutes: 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes stele entry training (rotating through focus on arms, legs, and core). Yoga at home at least 2 times per week to improve flexibility and focus.

Personal Information:
Filmmaker, traveler, foodie, French-speaking novice

Other Information:
Quality and flavor of foods are very important to me. I do not eat at chain restaurants or fast food joints. If food tastes the same everywhere, it's not an experience! I grow some of my own food in my small backyard during the summer. I cook most meals from scratch.

I vote with my dollars, and prefer to support local farmers and establishments over "organic" products shipped from halfway around the world.

    Hello! I have a bad knee, too, but not to the same degree as yours - not at all. (I haven't had knee reconstruction surgery.) But, I want to follow your progress both to encourage you and to get some ideas myself.
