"Dwell in Possibility" has been the quote that has kept me going through the past few years of my life. No matter the trial or roadblock, I can always think on the possibility of what my determination to overcome will help to achieve. In visualizing my goals this way, I can do anything! I am 25 years old and completed my Masters in Occupational Therapy last May. I have learned a lot about how to help others reach their goals for better quality of life and establish meaningful, healthy life routines. I think it is time I do the same for myself! Soon I will post updated short term goals here along with the reward I am planning when I achieve them. I'm sure just reaching the goal could be motivation enough, but a reward always helps keep the motivation Overall goal: I will lose 20 pounds by August 2016 in order to feel more confident about my body and have more energy. Reward: Plan a summer vacation with my boyfriend! Short term goals: **Lose 5 pounds by March 22** Reward: New Running Shoes! **Workout consistently at least 10minutes per day for 4 weeks (March 22)** Reward: Shopping trip with mom! **Lose 10 pounds by May 5** Reward: Cinco de Mayo festivities with my boyfriend! **Run 5k (3.1 miles) in less than 28 minutes (current time ~30 minutes)** Reward: New band for Apple Watch I will update these as I achieve them and claim my reward. The rewards are a bit arbitrary.. they are things I know I want RIGHT NOW but I'm pushing myself to achieve something before I get them. After all, it's a bit depressing to go clothes shopping when not comfortable looking in the mirror. So, I have laid out the possibilities of what I can achieve with my goals. Now all that is left is to get out and work toward them! Off I go :)

My Goals:
*Go from 155 to 140 by April 20, 2014
*Get active and workout at least 10 minutes everyday (consistently!)
*Take my dogs for a walk 2x per week
*Eat lots of fruits and veggies!

My Program:
Right now I am just trying to focus on eating the right thing and getting at least 10 minutes of exercise each day. I am just getting back into the swing of things and don't want to push too hard too fast. This takes time! Once I get the food thing down, I plan on working out 5x per week outside or at the gym for 30+ minutes. I love classes at the gym and workout dvds.

    Thank you for stopping by my page! I'm not quite as active right now on Spark as I'd like to be, but I try to check in every so often. I'm still working on that concept of body image; in fact, I know I will probably be dealing with it for years. Even now looking back at pictures from last December when I was 15lbs thinner, I remember thinking at the time I still wasn't in a good place with my appearance, feeling uncomfortable and "fat"... Ugh!
