It's a new month!! Time to review my current goals and make some adjustments. I am feeling great and loving the energy I have found through exercise and healthy eating!

Hi there! I enjoy reading everyone's motivational introductions and blogs. I thought it was about time to share a little bit about me.

I am not new to SP. I joined in the fall of 2009 in preparation for my June 2010 wedding. At the time of my joining I had reached an all time high weight of 238 pounds. I have struggled with my weight all of my life and have always been told by my parents that I was "big-boned". The number on the scale that day dropped me to my knees and I knew I needed to do something. My self-esteem was low. I joined SP but life had taken a toll - going to school full-time, raising a family, and planning a big wedding. Unfortunately, I did not take the time to invest in SP and all the information that was available for the taking.

Since the fall of 2009 I have lost 35 pounds and gained 20 of it back. I came back to SP people in March 2011 in search of a healthy lifestyle. This time is different. I've had my AHA moment and ready to not just go through the motions but actually CHANGE from the inside out.

Fitness Minutes: 5,867

My Goals:
-Complete C25k Training

- Run a 5k

- Run Indy Mini 5/2012

-Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies.

-Do not snack mindlessly

-Track my food and exercise.

-Strength training 3 times per week.

-Cardio 5 days per week.


My Program:
-Strength training

-Cardio: elliptical trainer, stationary bike, outdoor cycling

-Staying within my calorie, carb, protein, and fat ranges

Personal Information:
I am a daughter.
I am a sister.
I am a wife.
I am a mother.
I am determined!

    Slow and's a journey that will last a life time. I heard this on the radio today (and I'm going to botch this a bit):

    What is it that you regret today? That you haven't exercised in the past year (or two or ten)? That you have eaten too much junk over the years? You need to make those changes today so you won't have the same regrets in ten years.

    It made sense when I heard it...I hope it helps.
