I had belonged to an online health group and it gave me what I needed - accountability, encouragement and a listening ear when I needed it. The only reason I left was I had budgeted money for this plan, but came across a ministry that really spoke to me and decided to send them the money instead. I found how that help on the online site really helped. I am encountering great people here, and knowing they are just a message away is a great motivator!

I am happily married, have 2 children, 11 wonderful grandchildren (which includes 2 adorable foster grands) and a rescue dog named “Cooper”. I work in what I feel is a stressful environment. And above all, I follow Christ and hope that is what defines who I am.

Fitness Minutes: 1,050

My Goals:
My goals are to be comfortable in my own body, to be healthy and quit wasting time that I will never get back. I have to add that I struggle mentally with keeping my attitude where I want it to be. I complain, whine and judge more then I care to admit. I have to be in constant prayer to not get into a self pity frame of mind.

My Program:
Keep my calories to around 1500, high protein, minimum processed sugar and nothing extreme. I want to live with a program that I can do for the rest of my life. I found that it helps to journal my eating. I am starting to include exercise, but find it difficult cause I always seem to run out of time - or is that an excuse?

Personal Information:
I assist teaching at my church an ESL class. I have met wonderful people there - from the students to the staff. I am so tired because it’s after work, but it so uplifts me. The thing I find hardest to do is relax. When I find the time to relax, I am fidgety and think of what I could be doing. We are in the process of cleaning out my mothers house (who has Alzheimer’s and is in a care center) and there is so much to go through that I start getting frustrated and ignore it - but it’s always there in the back of my mind.

Other Information:
I draw and paint which helps release stress. I am lousy, but, shhhhh, don’t tell me.
This is almost a joke - I haven’t done anything for months due to always feeling like I have chore things to do. I think I get on my iPad too much which my husband isn’t crazy about, but it’s a form of relaxation for me.
