... and boy oh boy did i learn that in 2012! It was an amazing & productive year. I got stronger physically & mentally & learned a lot nutritionally thanks to my awesome CrossFit coaches & extended family at my CrossFit box. I grew my my relationship with & faith in God thanks to my beautiful church family & husband. 2013 is a new year for me to catapult into strengthening these area more.

Happy Healthy 2014! A NEW YEAR with NEW GOALS. Grow more in my relationship with God & focus on endurance fitness and trail racing.

I first joined Sparkpeople in Jan 2008. I made some terrific friends who were a terrific support network & I had great success losing 30 lbs & becoming the fittest I have ever been. Thanks to Sparkpeople, I learned how about eating clean & general good health. Then after a year I turned my back on Sparks, maintained for a little while, & then gained it all back. Yup, all of it. So at 39 yrs old (Dec 2011) humbled, I came home to Sparkpeople and started over.

I'm a fairly simple girl. I love my husband, my dogs & Jesus Christ! I live in the mountains & enjoy hiking w/ my dogs & being outdoors. I'm passionate about animals (especially dogs) animal care & animal rescue.
