VILLAMARIA
Hi, I just read your article about controlling your diabetes and want to say Congrats. I too was able to control my diabetes through diet and exercise. Two years ago I lost 55 lbs and was able to come off metformin. Sadly, I gained the weight back and am now back on medication. With Spring around the corner, I have renewed my desire and commitment to once again take control of my diabetes. Thanks for the inspiration. 719 days ago

Thank you for writing that article. You did me a wonderful favor by writing it. My doc's office called this past Friday to inform me that I now have diabetes. I never thought that I would hear those words. They have scared the heck out of me. Now I will see the diabetic clinician in 3 weeks to set up a plan on how and what to do to keep me from getting further into this disease. You would think that I would know better being a nurse for many years. I never thought this would happen to me. I do know that I have to change my eating habits, drink water, and exercise. If you don't mind I would like to add you as a friend so that I may get some good tips from you. 1033 days ago
