Hello! My name is Annette and I have a LONG way to go. I have 3 cats: Oliver, Sylvester, and Oscar.

If I don't get this weight off, I might not be around to care for them. And the one thing I've believed in all my life is that when I adopt a critter it is a life-long commitment. I don't give them away when I move. I don't abandon them on the street. I care for them their entire lives. So the prospect of not being able to fulfill that weighs (no pun intended) heavily on my mind.

But cats are my favorite thing in the world as you probably know by now if you've been to my Spark page at all. So this is now my plan!

Last summer (6-14-17), I began a series of Physical Therapy sessions to help strengthen my lower body muscles. The first session was hard. I could barely pedal the bike. I did a bunch of supervised exercises with a physical therapist. He was extremely encouraging. I worked on it and made progress, but once the sessions ended I didn't keep up with it.

In the end of April 2018, I saw a flyer for a cruise. I knew I could never do the required walking. I started to throw it away, but then I realized I could make a lot of progress in 11 months. So I found a friend to go, booked the cruise and started my healthy lifestyle. Today (6-26-18) was day 46 of consecutively exercising in the pool - both water aerobics and the PT exercises. I am also eating 5x a day - about 350 calories each meal at this time. So far I've dropped 24.8 lbs.

Thank you so much again for the encouragement yesterday. Ironically, last month we found a kitten that was in terrible shape outside our mechanic's home. He was in a corn field but near the road and coming up to us. We asked our mechanic about him and were told they had found him at a local park but couldn't care for them so were going to keep him as an outside mouse cat. We asked him if he would mind us taking him and getting him done up proper and he was enthusiastic with the idea. Repeated Dawn baths, trip to the vet for severe ear mites and Coccidia in adanced stage. We have the chihuahuas on Brevecto and already flea treatments in the house so we had a day of discomfort as he was so badly infested that it took this to get rid of the problem and then again with the eggs but has been solved for the last weeks. The vet had him on meds but he was still pretty bad the first week. Vet said he was extremely malnourished but he is gaining now. Neuter scheduled for a couple weeks and has his vaccination. He is very happy here actually and doing so well.

Love the photos of your babies as well :-), Thank you again, have a very nice day today.

Once the teriyaki sauce is bubbling, let boil for 10 minutes, stirring to coat occasionally. Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes before serving. This is really good with stir fry vegetables! I hope you like it! Sarah

Skillet, add oil, garlic and ginger. Sautee for 1 to 2 minutes or until garlic is sweating. Add pork and brown on all sides before adding the teriyaki sauce.
